The Author takes note to try and focus on series that they knew well for this massive crossover. So It’s to be expected that there are lots of nods to their source material or other series.

- This isn’t the first time Gwen has ended up with the Omnitrix.
- The DCU:
- The Luthors can’t stand the Trickster claiming that his voice reminds them of someone. Considering that he’s played by Mark Hamill who also plays The Joker who the Luthors can’t stand it makes sense in a meta way.
- The Only Luthor that seems to enjoy the company of the Trickster is Alexis Luthor who happens to be played by Tara Strong who happens to also voice Harley Quinn alongside Joker on Batman: Arkham Series
- Lex Luthor talks to Felix Faust who remarks how his voice is grating. Funny seeing as both are played by Jon Cryer
- Marvel Universe:
- Tony Stark remembers a scientist from Latvia
- When Deadpool meets Deathstroke he does admit he was inspired by the latter.
- SCP Foundation:
- Cleft’s reaction to events of the dusting are similar to his reaction in the Quiet Days story.
- Terminator
- Deadpool notes that he's in a room with Deathstroke the Terminator and a Space Knight named Terminator and there is no Arnold Schwarzenegger.
