- The Queen gets annoyed with Prince Philip when she discovers he's named Greek singer Demis Roussos as fourth in line to the throne.
- Reagan plays what appears to be a version of Sprint while wearing an Atlanta Falcons helmet. He also has a Space Invaders cabinet in his room.
- "What a grey day" is a reference's to Larry Grayson's Catchphrase, "What a gay day."
- Donald Sinden sings "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" to himself while he rings up his colleagues to see if they're still alive. He eventually gets a call from Sid Little of Little and Large who are doing something similar.
- "Big Busters" is a Suspiciously Similar take-off of the theme from Ghostbusters (1984).
