Shout Out / Persona 2

• The proto-Masked Circle is a group of kids who love Phoenix Featherman R (a shout out to Choujin Sentai Jetman, Science Ninja Team Gatchaman, and other shows with similar premises).
• In official art, the Bolontiku are shown doing the Vulcan salute.
• Also in official art, Tatsuya can be seen doing a Jojo pose. Not surprising given the series inspiration as well as Kaneko being a fan of Araki's work.
• In Eternal Punishment, Katsuya's reaction to his brother's exposition is to protest that this isn't the Twilight Zone.
• The games overall borrow heavily from the Cthulhu Mythos borrowing several of the entities as enemies, Personas and even bosses. Tatsuya's Scenario even has a cameo of Lovecraft.
