The first game

• Quite a bit to The Faculty, one of the game's main inspirations.
  • A flyer in the girls' bathroom in the administration building tries to warn people that aliens are among us, which the characters dismiss as paranoid nonsense.
  • The developers admitted that the character of Stan was based on Josh Hartnett's character Zeke, complete with Comic-Book Fantasy Casting. The Faculty also has a character named Stan, though he was the jock in that film rather than The Stoner.
• There has to be a reason why there are characters named Stan, Kenny, and Mr. Garrison...
• Let's look at the main cast, shall we? You've got the athlete Kenny, the princess Ashley, the criminal Stan, and the brain Josh. Four out of five ain't bad — and the odd one out, Shannon, definitely looks the part of the basket case if you've selected her alternate outfit, or after her goth makeover in the second game (ironically inverting Allison's makeover at the end of The Breakfast Club).

The second game

• Jedidiah, the chainsaw-wielding hillbilly who hangs his victims on meathooks, is a fairly obvious homage to Leatherface.

Final Exam

• Nathan's monster-trap special attack outright references Ghostbusters in the description.
