- The trailer is an obvious one to a certain other film with the sidekicks being the stars, even it's title is considered to be used for the story.
- The opening fight of the story, set to Dancing With Myself, is an obvious homage to Groot's opening in GOTG2

N-Force
- Lynn's one-sided "fight" with Jenny in chapter 4 is directly based off Deadpool's confrontation with Colossus from Deadpool (2016), down to the attacker (Lynn/Deadpool) injuring all of their limbs attacking a metallic opponent (Jenny/Colossus).
