  • When testing Synergy's holographic abilities Jerrica's and Kimber's father clearly spawned a Transformers image. (It and this show were apparently in the same universe, so...)
  • The Misfits' music video for "Love Sick" contains references to The Wizard of Oz, Bride of Frankenstein, and Raggedy Ann.
  • In the Starbright two-parter Jerrica is shown reading Alice in Wonderland to Ba Nee. Specifically, it's the part where Alice meets the Cheshire Cat.
  • During The Misfits' "I Am a Giant" number in part one of The Music Awards, Pizzazz does an impression of King Kong, with black and white (except for her) footage, and attacking biplanes.
  • In Trick or Techrat, Terri is clearly dressed as Raggedy Ann.note
  • "The Day the Music Died" was named after the tragic 1958 plane crash that claimed the lives of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and The Big Bopper.note
  • The song "Take A Hike Jack" seems to be a reference to the song "Hit The Road Jack".
  • In one of the books, The Misfits have a new song called "Hit Me With A Cheap Shot", which is a riff off of Pat Benatar's "Hit Me With Your Best Shot".
