The game takes place in modern Tokyo with all the trappings of present-day Japanese pop culture, including landmark franchises and brands. However, as is to be expected, all of them are given subtly changed Punny Names to dodge the royalties. Even they reference characters from other works that aren't made by Studio MGCM. Besides that, quite a few are interspersed through character dialogue and Kamisaman's loading screen tips. Such as:
- "Biznee Land" and "Biznee Sea".
- Fictional social networks such as:
- "Isosta" in Japanese version, which is based on "Instagram" ("Sinsta" in the English version).
- "Toktik", which is based on a Chinese video social network TikTok.
- "Sitter", based on Twitter.
- "Legend of Jelda" in Japanese version.
- There's a manga called "Un Piece" in the Japanese version.
- In the 2nd arc Climax campaign event version of the homepage, Iroha mentions SuperEats, based on Uber Eats.
- In the Christmas themed homepage, Kaori brings a Samtucky Fried Chicken, based on KFC.
- Iroha is a longstanding fan of Magical Girl shows like Oramajo Dodomi-Chan, PostCure and Pinky Momo.
- Lilly's favorite band is DONE DOKO ROCK with Tomoki as her favorite band player (based on Tomoya from "ONE OK ROCK").
- Cocoa's twin little brothers Kazuya and Tatsuya love watching Kamen Charider Z (Masked Cycler Z in English version).
- For those who don't notice yet, Cocoa's twin little brothers Kazuya and Tatsuya are named after the twin brothers from Touch (1981).
- Iroha's Ultimate Magica dress vaguely resembles Madoka's divine form and Hibiki/Yuki Yuna combined.
- The Kawaii Warriors dress line clearly invokes Super Sentai tropes and brings a little bit of its American adaptation into the mix with appropriate (and humorous) Catchphrase use, naming and dialogue, albeit diluting it with Magical Girl Warrior Frills of Justice.
- Tobio's design is based on Handa-kun from Barakamon.
- AirPogs are a Bland-Name Product of Apple's AirPods.
