Shameful Strip / Anime & Manga

• In Arachnid, a then-villainous Oki forces Alice to strip as part of her demands for releasing Yoriko. Oki would have had Alice crawl around the school while naked for further humiliation, but thankfully it turned out Yoriko hadn't been kidnapped at all and Alice fights back.
• Gen's older sister Eiko in Barefoot Gen is accused of theft and subjected to this.
• Both Okoi and Kagerou are subjected to this in Basilisk when captured by the enemies.
• In Beastars poor Haru is forced to strip naked by the Lion Mob Boss, so that her flesh will taste better due to her shame and humiliation.
• Berserk:
  • Played for horror during the Eclipse when Casca is captured and stripped naked by demons, a prelude of worse things to come for her.
  • Slan also has Guts captive with her tentacles in one scene and tears his armor/shirt from his body.
  • At some point, a huge demon grabbed Griffith and stripped him off his armor to show the Hawks the horrible consequences of the year he spent under constant Cold-Blooded Torture for sleeping with Princess Charlotte.
• Bikini Warriors: As a fanservice-focused gag series, this happens a lot.
  • In Episode 2, a king hires the heroines for a quest, but only offers 10 gold coins as payment. When they complain about how low that is (a night in a hotel costs 20 gold coins), he eventually gets fed up and has them thrown into his dungeon, naked and tied up.
  • In Episode 3, the heroines rob several townspeople. Eventually, the townspeople catch up to them and throw them naked into the woods.
  • In an OVA, after Kunoichi, Hunter, Valkyrie, and Cleric accidentally blow up a country, they are arrested and thrown in a dungeon, naked and tied up.
• Black Butler: Alois forces his maid Hannah to strip for him, partly to Kick the Dog and partly to use her dress as a disguise.
• Features in the Fujiyama Gangsta Paradise arc of Black Lagoon. After Yukio Washimine is captured by Chaka and his group, her captors play strip bowling: for every strike, they remove a piece of clothing from her. By the time we see her she has lost her shoes, socks, skirt, and bra, but for some reason she can still cover herself with her (unbuttoned) shirt. (Likely to avert Executive Meddling) Given that they were planning on selling her as a Sex Slave, this would probably have gone further had they not been interrupted.
• Blue Comet SPT Layzner has Eiji captured, stripped naked, and locked in a padded cell by human mad scientists who plan to study him like a lab rat for being half-human, half-Gradosian. His sister Julia gets stripped to her underwear by Gosterro, who does so in public.
• Luna is subjected to both this and being put in a Crucified Hero Shot in Casshan: Robot Hunter, due to being a member of La Résistance.
• The biker gang that abducts Kousukegawa in Change 123 and corners the HiFuMi in a construction yard orders her to strip and get on her knees if she wants Kousukegawa back. She appears to be complying with their demands when she calmly removes her school uniform and places it on the ground, but she was actually taking the opportunity to pick up a few nails that were lying around. Nails which she promptly uses as ammunition in a counterattack against the 40 or so bikers.
• In Chivalry of a Failed Knight, Stella Vermillion is subjected to this by a bunch of criminals who threaten to kill their hostages if she does not comply. She complies only to save the hostages, and the distraction allows her friends enough time to come to the rescue.
• Cross Ange: This happens to Ange throughout the series.
  • Jill tears open Ange's dress at the end of the first episode and later tears off her underwear while bending her over a table and giving her a cavity search.
  • When Ange refuses to wear a uniform, Salia strips her naked and throws her into the hallway to shame her into putting it on.
  • When Ange is put on trial by her former people, they strip her and put her in a revealing rag before torturing and trying to hang her.
  • As punishment for deserting, Ange and Hilda are both thrown into a cell naked, though their clothes are put in the cell too.
  • When Sylvia enslaves Riza, she strips her naked.
  • Embryo subjects Ange to mind control and forces her to strip naked for him, with her fighting it every step of the way. She doesn't manage to break the control until after she's already naked and he tries to kiss her.
  • In the final battle, Embryo disintegrates Ange's clothes before trying to rape her.
• Dance in the Vampire Bund
  • Vampire Monarch Mina Tepes is subjected to this every 10 years given this under the disguise of a "chastity test" by the order of the three last pure-blood vampire men. If stripping down a 12-year-old-looking female is not shameful enough, remember that they killed the rest of the pure bloods as well as her mother and they are just doing it to remind her that she's their property.
  • Minamei is forced to strip naked in front of the Li Court's attendants and guards, who proceed to laugh at her tears of shame.
• Death Note: When Mello kidnaps Kiyomi Takada, he makes her strip to remove any concealed weapons, cell phones, or tracking devices. He makes the mistake of giving her a blanket to cover herself, allowing her to conceal a page of the Death Note that she uses to kill him.
• In the second episode of Desert Punk, Rain Spider makes short work of two thugs who tried to rob him. After defeating them, he makes them strip naked below the waist and sends them to walk in the hot desert back to the rest of their band. They initially protest that this is so humiliating that they'd rather die, but after Rain Spider takes out some "toys" (various weapons and bondage gear), they decide to walk.
• Fairy Tail:
  • Yukino Agria of the Sabertooth Guild is forced to take off her clothes in front of the other members for disappointing her master Ziemma. He often does it to every girl that fails him. Mostly so that he'll have a reason to hold back on murdering someone's daughter.
  • This also happens to Erza Scarlet when she is captured by Tartaros. When next we see her she is completely naked and bound in manacles that prevent her magic use. Given the nature of her powers, and that she uses them for everyday clothing, too, this is as much a side-effect as a justified precaution. It's worse when they start subjecting her to Cold-Blooded Torture, which causes her to break down because her armor is a kind-of Security Blanket for her when she's around enemies, thus being tortured while naked is worse for Erza than almost anyone else.
  • Later, more people get captured by Tartaros and are also stripped, so it may just be standard procedure there. Given that Natsu and Lisanna suffer the same fate, it would seem this is just Tartaros' style. Note that in the anime, which is less risque than the manga due to it being aired on TV Tokyo's Saturday morning time slot, Tartaros has its prisoners stripped to their underwear instead of naked, though they react the same way.
  • The Dragon Zirconis uses magic to strip humans of clothing. He does this because clothes ruin the flavor of human flesh, though he also admits he does it to rob humans of their dignity.
• Future Diary:
  • When Minene is drugged and captured by Hirasaka, he treats her injured eye, but strips her down to her panties and chains her to a wall.
  • Also, a captured Yuno gets subjected to Clothing Damage and then pinned down with only half her clothes on when Tsubaki, already VERY pissed off due to having lost one of her hands to Yuno herself, orders her minions to gangrape her. In the anime, it's even worse since all her clothes save for her panties are taken off.
• In anime of Gate Princess Pina Co Lada is confronted by Zorzal's three generals: Helm, Mudra, and Kurasta. They offer her old rag and black chains. Next shot we see of her is her being dragged off to slave chamber- clad only in slave rags and chains- implying that Pina had to strip naked in front of Helm, Mudra and Kurasta. They had no real objectons in seeing her humiliated before throwing her in a slave chamber.
• In Get Backers, Kazuki (actually Akame Kogenta in disguise) tied Himiko with his strings during Limitless Fortress arc. When Himiko mocked him for his cowardice, he tightened his strings, shredding her clothes, leaving her nearly naked. As if that wasn't bad enough, he even tried to mutilate her with his strings. This only happened in the manga version. In the anime, the fake Kazuki didn't tighten his strings to shred Himiko's clothes at all.
• In Gokujou Drops, Yukio's fangirls do this to her love interest Komari as a part of their bullying.
• Whenever an antagonist in an episode of Gun Frontier gets the upper hand, odds are his first action will be to rip off Sinunora's dress.
• Haruhi Suzumiya: Mikuru often finds herself on the receiving end of these from Haruhi, whenever the latter decides to dress her up in cute or sexy outfits and forcibly strips her. The first time, when she forced her into a Playboy Bunny costume, poor Mikuru ended up begging her to at least let her take off her clothes by herself, but Haruhi refused to listen.
• Happens to Ritsuko Takahashi in Hell Teacher Nube, when she's kidnapped, stripped, and almost murdered by a mentally/emotionally shattered Yukime.
• Hybrid × Heart Magias Academy Ataraxia: In the anime version, Zelshione punishes Grabel for perceived treason by chaining her up, stripping her naked, then whipping her. In the light novel version, Grabel wasn't stripped, but the whip tears her clothes to shreds.
• In an episode of Inuyasha, Kagome is knocked unconscious by the villain-of-the-week and wakes up naked in a big cooking pot, since he plans to feed her to a man-eating tree (or in the original manga, he just planned to eat her himself). From the time Inu-Yasha rescues her until she retrieves her clothes, she wears his fire-rat-hair kimono.
• Happens to Sara Uchida in the second Kasei Yakyoku OAV. Crosses into Near-Rape Experience, as she gets stripped and pinned down by Yakuzas—but manages to steal one's dagger and keep them at arm's length.
• When Ryozanpaku Master Shigure is captured in Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple, she is kept entirely naked at almost all times, with her hands and legs bound. Keeping her away from anything, even a single strip of cloth, is in fact a completely justified precaution, given what she's been shown to do with as little as a wooden spoon or a strip of wet cloth.
• Kill la Kill: Inverted. Satsuki lectures Ryuko about being ashamed of being seen in her Kamui in Episode 3, saying "This is the form in which a Kamui is able to unleash the most power! The fact that you are embarrassed by the values of the masses only proves how small you are! If it means fulfilling my ambitions, I will show neither shame nor hesitation, even if I must bare my breasts for all the world to see!"
• Kingdoms of Ruin: The Emperor rips Chloe's top off after negating her magic, leaving her topless in front of the massive audience who then proceed to take pictures. Then she was killed in brutal fashion.
• Legend of the Blue Wolves: Jonathan is forced under a shower before Captain Continental tears his shirt and underwear off him and proceeds to molest him.
• In the Lupin III: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine episode ".357 Magnum", Fujiko is goaded by the casino owner Cicciolina into wagering her freedom against ownership of the casino. Fujiko loses. The guards take her to Cicciolina's bedroom and handcuff her naked to a chair.
  • In the sequel, Gravestone of Daisuke Jigen, Fujiko is kidnapped and locked in a glass box naked, where her captors intend to have her raped to death by a robot for the amusement of an audience. Lupin rescues her.
• In Magical Record Lyrical Nanoha Force, when the Hückebein captured Thoma's group, they proceeded to strip them of all the equipment they could remove. Unsurprisingly, while Tohma was able to keep the Instant Armor that came with his Black Knight form, Lily and Isis were left completely naked while their enemies interrogated them. A justified precaution, though, since in the Nanoha-verse, almost anything can be turned into a weapon, including articles of clothing. However, the Hückebein have enough dignity to cover the girls with towels and let them being interrogated by Arnage and Cypha, while Thoma is interrogated by Fortis and DeVille.
• The Misfit of Demon King Academy:
  • When Emilia Lud(o)well is revived as a half-demon, she was revived with no clothing despite having passed away in them. While Anos is capable of bringing people back from the dead with their clothing intact, as seen with Zepes, it's clear that he wanted to further humiliate her.
  • During the interschool exams, Eleonore Bianca was stripped down nude and encased in a crystal. Fortunately, Anos creates new clothing for her when he comes to save her.
• In My Hero Academia, the heroine known as Ragdoll is found completely naked after being kidnapped by the League of Villains, after being forcibly stripped of her Quirk by All For One.
• In Negima! Magister Negi Magi, Tsukuyomi subjects Setsuna to this by straddling her and using her sword to cut her sarashi open, giggling and telling her to "satisfy" her.
• In Neon Genesis Evangelion, this happens to Dr. Ritsuko Akagi in episode 23. For worse, the old men of SEELE are the ones forcing her to stand naked in front of them as they verbally harass her, and when she finds out that Gendo specifically sent her to avoid having to send Rei, Ritsuko is not amused.
• Queen's Blade Grimoire:
  • When The Big Bad Wolf corners Zara, he tears her clothes apart with his paw before swallowing her, presumably so she would be easier to eat.
  • Alicia and Tiina get knocked out and captured by Liliana and her Ghost Pirate crew. Alicia wakes up to find herself naked and tied up, and sees Tiina naked and being lead around on a leash by Liliana.
• In The Sacred Blacksmith, Cecily not only is at the receiving end of this, but she's also severely beaten, verbally humiliated and almost raped by the Big Bad Siegfried.
• In Sakura Gari, Masataka finds a picture of a half-naked girl who's also Bound and Gagged. She's a former maid who was The Mistress to Souma; Sakurako stripped her almost naked, tortured her into almost insanity and took pictures due to jealousy. Also Masataka himself is forced to strip naked in front of Souma, who's blackmailing him into having sex with him.
• Seraph of the End: Guren Ichinose: Catastrophe at Sixteen: Seishiro dishes out Clothing Damage to Sayuri during their fight. She is battered and humiliated, trying to hold the front of her shirt closed, and the crowd chants for him to strip her naked. He agrees but just punches her causing her shirt to fall open. He sneers at her telling her to keep her body to herself.
• Hentai tends to do this all the time and sometimes in unusual ways. Slave Warrior Maya reverses the typical order of events: Trapped in Another World by a magic spell, Maya is intimidated by a pair of aliens into stripping naked before they'll help her find a way home. It's only after she's stripped that they take her prisoner, since she's now a naked human in the wild and therefore, legally, no better than an animal.
• In the 2nd to last episode of the first season of Sword Art Online, after chaining Asuna up and stabbing Kirito into the ground with Kirito's own sword, Sugou/Oberon rips Asuna's top before he licks and molests/rapes her in-game in front of Kirito. Just when all seemed lost, Kirito manages to free himself and obtain administrator rights from Kayaba's "digital ghost", then proceeds to kill the crap out of Oberon.
• Used in Tokyo Ghoul:Re as the prelude to Medical Horror. While visiting his newest "patient", Mad Scientist Dr. Kanou yanks off Takizawa's sheets and leaves him completely exposed while discussing the upcoming experiments. The scene further drives home how Kanou's victims are utterly dehumanized, routinely kept naked, and treated like animals. It doesn't help that said scene ends with the "good doctor" promising to return later for some routine tests — one of which will involve forced ejaculation.
• In Trigun, Vash is once forced to strip naked and bark like a dog (or else an outlaw leader will kill someone). Vash does... revealing so many old scars and injuries in the process to disturb even the outlaws making the threats.
• Variable Geo: This is the penalty for losing any match at level-3 and above. Though it's first seen when Jun loses her preliminary bout against Yuka, which was only set at level-4. Despite Yuka's insistence that rules didn't obligate her to do so, Jun still went through with it as she felt there was no place in VG for mediocrity.
• Wolfsmund: As the rebels are preparing to execute Wolfram, they proceed to tear off his clothes as they tie him to the contraption designed to impale him vertically from his rump through his mouth.
• In World Conquest Zvezda Plot, Natasha wakes up naked and in magical restraints when she is captured by the organization White Light.
