Whoopi is an American sitcom starring Whoopi Goldberg that aired for one season on NBC from 2003-2004. The series revolved around the events and people at her hotel, the fictional Larchmont Hotel, in New York City. The series follows Whoopi Goldberg as Mavis Rae, a jaded, opinionated, chain-smoking One-Hit Wonder singer who invests the money from her hit song in a more stable business: a hotel. Mavis decides to expand the hotel by opening up the bar as a lounge where her fans can come see her on a regular basis.
The show also starred Wren T. Brown, Omid Djalili, Elizabeth Regen, and Gordana Rashovich.
The series initially received high ratings before being bogged down by bad reviews. It aired on NBC for one season.
