Kaylie Konrad (Bryana Salaz) is a rich and popular celebrity influencer and reality TV show star, whose mother Kit (Rosa Blasi) is also her strict manager. After a car accident and some trouble with the law, Kaylie is sentenced to community service and sent to Pico Middle School, where she becomes the leader of the Wilderness club. Despite being reluctant and clueless at first, she eventually evolves into a Cool Big Sis to the five kids of the Wilderness club.
The show debuted on September 23, 2019 on Netflix with the first five episodes. Other six episodes were released on December 2, 2019. The final nine episodes were released on February 3, 2020.

- Abhorrent Admirer:
- The Fat Slob Chewy is obsessed with Amber, who openly dislikes him and rejects him.
- Chewy's Butt-Monkey friend Freddie (who only appears in two episodes) has an odd attraction to Valeria, who is obviously not interested.
- Abusive Parents: Kaylie's mother Kit, who only cares about money and popularity, and is pushy when it comes to her daughter's career without caring about Kaylie's opinion. She also belittles Kaylie regularly.
- Alliterative Family: Kaylie, Kit, and Kamantha Konrad.
- Annoying Younger Sibling: Kaylie's little sister Kamantha is an outright evil Enfant Terrible. She is even worse than her mother, and has no nice moments at all.
- Aw, Look! They Really Do Love Each Other: Despite their terrible relationship, it's shown that Kaylie and her mother deep down care for each other, as seen in the Christmas episode and in the episode featuring Kaylie's grandmother.
- Brainless Beauty: A rare protagonist example. Kaylie is a very pretty girl, but is often so ditzy that she comes off as less intelligent than all the younger children. She gets slightly better by the end of the season.
- Butt-Monkey: All the characters have their comically unlucky moments (except Amber), but especially Chewy, Principal Dana, and officer Stevie. Even Kaylie goes through humiliating slapstick several times.
- Creepy Child:
- Valeria considers herself a witch, wears black, and has macabre interests.
- Kaylie's little sister Kamantha is so creepy and evil that even Valeria finds her disturbing.
- Cloudcuckoolander: The self-proclaimed witch Valeria. The other characters are often weirded out by the things she says.
- Disproportionate Retribution: In "Fears of a Clown", Valeria says she is never scared of horror movies. So Kaylie and the other kids set up an eleborate prank to make Valeria believe that there is some horror creature in the house who wants to kill them all, scaring the hell out of her. By the end of the episode, Valeria (who likes scary stuff) is not even offended and says it was a great prank.
- Genius Ditz: Chewy is the most Book Dumb of the kids and regularly acts like a Class Clown, but is very good at playing guitar.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Among the kids, Ray Ray and Valeria fit this the most, and Principal Dana has also proven to be a caring woman behind her bitter and frustrated attitude.
- Lovable Alpha Bitch: Kaylie is a shallow and often selfish celebrity, but she is good at heart and becomes a Cool Big Sis to the kids of the Wilderness club.
- Nice Mean And In Between:
- Of the young girls in the Wilderness club, Jackie is the friendliest, despite being neurotic (nice), Valeria is often ruthless (mean), and Amber can be a rude Little Miss Snarker but is also reasonable (in-between).
- Of the Konrad family, Kaylie is a Lovable Alpha Bitch (nice), Kamantha is pure evil (mean), and Kit is an abusive Stage Mom but has her Pet the Dog moments (in-between).
- No Celebrities Were Harmed: Kaylie Konrad is based on Kim Kardashian, as she is famous for a family reality show and has an Alliterative Family with the letter K, including her mother Kit and her sister Kamantha.
- "Not So Different" Remark: Amber is the most practical of the kids and she dislikes Kaylie initially, because of the latter's irresponsibility. But it's noted in-universe that Amber and Kaylie can be equally stubborn.
- Only Sane Woman: Amber is the only one in the Wilderness club (and in the entire series) who is not quirky or eccentric in any way, and just reacts normally to the antics of her friends and Kaylie.
- Opposites Attract: Social media celebrity Kaylie and country boy Colt are attracted to each other and eventually start dating. The only thing they have in common is that they are both dim and ditzy.
- Town Girls: Of the three girls in the Wilderness club, Amber is the tough and competitive Outdoorsy Gal (butch), Jackie is the bookish goody-goody who usually wears pink, or flowery, or preppy clothes (femme), and Valeria is the witchy goth girl who wears black (neither).
- Vitriolic Best Buds: The kids of the wilderness club are this. They always get on each other's nerves, but they are true friends at the end of the day.
