Strawberry Moon is a Bulgarian drama series about an old and new generation of firefighters, some of whom have turned criminals.
Major Lyubomir Bozhinov is the commander of a unit of firefighters in Sofia, Bulgaria. His most capable recruit, Georgi Djambazov, is a rebellious young man who has trouble with Ivan Chakărov, another team member. Georgi also comes to protect Lyubo's daughter Raya from Boyan Genchev, the predatory son of a mob boss, and this also drives a wedge in his own marriage.

- Everyone Went to School Together: It turns out that Lyubo, Angel (Boyan's father turned mob boss), the fathers of both Georgi and Ivan and Ivan's stepfather Chavdar all served in the same unit. Lyubo was the youngest, Angel was the boss and Georgi's father Dimităr was the best. It all started when Dimităr exposed some embezzling done by Angel who orchestrated his death by cutting his oxygen supply. Ivan blames Georgi's father for his own father's death but it turns out it was the work of Chavdar who got bribed by Angel and the other man was just collateral damage.
- Finale Title Drop: When Georgi's mother finally tells him about the night his father died, she says "there was the same strawberry moon".
- If It's You, It's OK: Georgi is afraid to tell his boss that he's dating his daugher. The boss himself is quite alright with it, because he knows and trusts Georgi as if he were his own son.
- Overlord Jr.: Boyan Genchev. The son of a fireman turned criminal, he exploits his father's wealth and influence to lead a hedonistic lifestyle, terrorise both girls and some of his father's business associates, and often endangers his father's plans by acting rashly.
- Plot Armor: Deconstructed with Betty, Raya's best friend who does not have one. Because she is not the protagonist, the series uses her to show how brutal Boyan is. He and his henchman kidnap her from a street downtown, rape her all night and then dump her on the sidewalk.
- Wrong Guy First:
- The story kicks off with Raya trying to get with Boyan. After he very nearly rapes her in a club's bathroom, she starts getting closer to Georgi who was there and protected her.
- Gender inverted with Georgi himself - his aloof fiance dumps him when she so much as learns about Raya's existence and gets with Boyan, becoming his own paid journalist. Georgi then starts a relationship with Raya in earnest.
