The series lead was John Thaw in his first starring role as Sergeant John Mann, a member of the Royal Military Police's Special Investigation Branch (S.I.B.), as he investigates crimes related to the British Army. The offences ranged from burglary to murder.An ABC Weekend Television production for the ITV network, Redcap ran for two series from 1964 to 1966, with a total of 26 episodes.
