Nirvana in Fire 2: The Wind Blows in Chang Lin (琅琊榜之风起长林; Láng Yá Bǎng Zhī Fēng Qǐ Cháng Lín) is a 2017 Chinese series starring Huang Xiao Ming, Liu Hao Ran, Tong Li Ya, and Zhang Hui Wen. It's a sequel to the 2015 series Nirvana in Fire.
Many years after the original series ended, corrupt politicians cut off supplies to the Changlin Army. Xiao Ping Zhang, the army's general, is poisoned by an enemy from a now-destroyed neighbouring kingdom. Ping Zhang's younger brother Ping Jing sets out to investigate his brother's death and the conspiracy against the Xiao family.

- A Child Shall Lead Them: Xiao Yuan Shi is still just a child when he becomes emperor.
- Distant Sequel: Takes place at least sixty years after the first series.
- Foregone Conclusion: Ping Zhang dies. None of the series' summaries make any attempt to hide this.
- Happy Ending Override: The original series had a Bittersweet Ending as Mei Changsu cleared his family's name, defeated his enemies and put Jingyan on the throne before he died. The plot of this series starts with, once again, an army getting caught up in political intrigue — the very thing that led to Lin Shu becoming Mei Changsu and set off the original series' plot.
- Sacrificial Lion: Ping Zhang. His death gives Ping Jing even more reason to hate Yuan Qi and Puyang Ying.
- Spin-Offspring: Ping Zhang and Ping Jing are the sons of Ting Sheng, Prince Qi's son.
