ManXMan (also known as Man to Man) is a 2017 Korean Drama and spy caper about An Elite ghost agent for the NIS, Agent K. After another agent goes missing, he must retrieve three wooden statues, and the only way to do so is to become a part of Hallyu actor Yeo Woon-gwang's entourage. Therefore, Agent K takes up the identity of Kim Seol-woo to go undercover as Yeo Woon-gwang's bodyguard, while butting heads with Woon-gwang's manager Cha Do-ha.

Meanwhile, third-generation chaebol Mo Seung-jae wishes to retrieve the three statues for himself, and get rid of Yeo Woon-gwang because of Woon-gwang's history with his wife.

The series contains examples of:

  • Clear Their Name: Cha Do-ha's father get's framed for the murder or Robert Yoon due to his connection to the victim and a criminal past making him the perfect scapegoat for the villains.
  • Dismantled Macguffin: The three statues are storage containers that each contain one third of the key to the late Chairman Mo's slush fund. When assembled, the key has marks indicating the gps coordinates of vault. And when disassembled, they can be used to opened a safe hidden behind the late Chairman's portrait.
  • Faking the Dead: Agent K likes to clean up all loose ends from his fake identities lives by pretending to die in a car bombing. When he plans on doing this for his Kim Seol-woo persona, his superior points out that the bombing would create too much of a media buzz, and his face would be plastered all over Korea ruining his ability to do undercover missions.
    • Later, K uses this ability to fake the death of an enemy ghost agent after he's outlived his usefulness, in exchange for evidence to clear Do-ha's father's name.
  • Fire-Forged Friends: Kim Seol-woo forms this with Yeo Woon-gwang and Cha Do-ha over the course of the series.
  • Get into Jail Free: In the first episode, Agent K gets arrested as part of a rescue mission to break an officer out of prison.
  • Make It Look Like an Accident: The villains arrange for Lee Dong-hyun to get hit in what looks like a drunk driving accident while he's delivering key evidence to the NIS director
  • Mistaken for Pregnant: The rumor mill at Chewing Entertainment decides that Do-ha is pregnant after being caught at a hotel with Bodyguard Kim. Her friend is horrified when she suggests they get a drink together.
  • Not a Morning Person: Yeo Woon-gwang hates getting up in the morning, and is constantly late to his shoots as a result. Kim Seol-woo threatens him with a bomb on the first day of work to get him out of bed on time.
  • Now You Tell Me: Kim Seo-woo quits his job and rejects Cha Do-Ha harshly after completing the first part of a mission, only to be told that he still needs his job so he can be close to Do-Ha.
  • Plucky Girl: Cha Do-Ha deals with with all the Danger Agent K brings into her life with common sense and courage.
  • Tracking Device: Kim Seol-woo has has a coin with a tracking device. He gives it to Cha Do-ha when she gets targeted by the villains.
  • Vehicular Sabotage: An assassin attempts to kill Yeo Woon-gwang by cutting the breaks to the car he's supposed to use in a stunt shot.
  • Wall Pin of Love: When Kim Seol-woo wants to lose some men tailing him without alerting Cha Do-ha to their presence, he ducks around a corner and holds her in this position until they leave.
  • Wild Goose Chase: The agent that kidnapped Cha Do-Ha discovers the coin with a tracking device, so he leaves it by a bomb, as a trap for Seol-woo.
