Luna Nera (Black Moon) is a 2020 Italian Netflix Original TV series set in the 1600s. Two siblings (Ade and Valente) fleeing from The Benandanti find refuge in a Wizarding School run by a coven of witches. It was based on a book series by the same name. In this story, their grandmother sacrifices herself so they can escape. They join a witch coven, and the older Ade helps them to recruit other women on the run from The Inquisition. All the while witch hunters from the village seek them out with the goal of destroying them.
