Legit is a Scottish Sitcom that involves two guys, a middle-aged father Sammy Fox and 26-year-old Danny working at a market selling illegal DVDs and pirated computer software. The episodes will usually involve Sammy trying to find a way to get back with his ex-girlfriend (who he had children with) from her new boyfriend John McCann and Danny trying to get some girls whilst living with his mother. Sammy lives with Danny and his mother in a caravan in their back garden. The series only ran for one season from September 16th 2006 to October 12th 2006 with only 6 episodes.
Tropes:
- I Am Not Weasel: In the episode "Birthday" after Sammy subjects himself to being a nude model for the painter Locatelli, he ends up getting a sloth instead of a monkey (that he promised to his son for his birthday) and Sammy seems to be only one who realises its a sloth.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Sammy can be rather jerk-ish in his behaviour but he's genuinely a good guy.
- One-Word Title: As a reference to the protagonists' jobs of "selling illegal DVDs and pirated computer software".
