Tropes for the series:

  • Colonel Kilgore: Colonel Black casually kills all the subordinates who he feels have failed him and openly enjoys torturing prisoners, especially Ian.
  • Gaslighting: In the episode "The Ian Cam", Victor gaslights Rose in order to convince her that she has Alzheimer's disease so that she will have a brain scan.
  • Not What It Looks Like: In the episode "Dude", Ian has finally managed to remove the camera that the government planted in his eye and given the camera to a big friendly dog. The dog encounters Jasmine, on whom Ian has a hopeless crush, jumps on her and licks her face. The men watching the surveillance feed think that Ian is attacking Jasmine. Being villains, they are impressed with Ian's apparent behavior.
  • One-Word Title: Clone.
  • Sociopathic Soldier: Black is a solid Psychopath, there to enjoy all the torture and murder. Given the tone of the show, he gets a great deal of enjoyment.
  • Surveillance Station Slacker: In the episode "The Ian Cam", the agents who are supposed to be monitoring the feed from the tiny camera implanted in Ian's eyes are watching archived footage of Ian trying to flirt when Ian walks into the surveillance room. Once Ian knows about the surveillance, he proceeds to Bluff the Eavesdropper.
