An American Western series starring Clint Walker as Cheyenne Bodie, a nomadic adventurer in The Wild West after The American Civil War, as he goes from job to job.
The series also features L.Q. Jones, Chuck Hicks, Lane Chandler, Mickey Simpson, Jack Mower, and Lane Bradford.
It ran for seven seasons (1955–62) on ABC. It spun off The Dakotas.

- Adventure Towns: Cheyenne might be the first live TV example. Cheyenne Bodie, the show's only recurring character aside from the first three episodes (during which he had a sidekick), aimlessly wanders the West, taking on odd jobs and having adventures.
- Composite Character: In the episode "Argonauts", Cheyenne becomes a composite character of two characters from The Treasure of the Sierra Madre; Howard, the experienced prospector who serves as a mediator between the two novice prospectors, and Cody, the man who follows them.
- The Drifter: The perfect description of Cheyenne Bodie. After the Civil War, nomadic adventurer Cheyenne Bodie roamed the west looking for fights, women, and bad guys to beat up. His job changed from episode to episode.
- Endurance Duel: There is an episode where the titular hero faces off against an Indian warrior by seeing who could stand in a pit of quicksand the longest.
