A 2007 reality TV spin-off from Flavor of Love, created by executive producers Cris Abrego and Mark Cronin, that ran for three seasons. The show acts as an etiquette that helps contestants with their etiquette. The first season, "Flavor of Love Charm School", was hosted by Mo'Nique, and featured 13 contestants from Flavor of Love. The second season, "Rock of Love Charm School", was hosted by Sharon Osbourne, featuring 14 contestants from Rock of Love. The third season, "Charm School With Ricki Lake", was hosted by Ricki Lake and featured 14 contestants. Season 1 offered a prize of $50,000, and Seasons 2 and 3 doubled the amount to $100,000. All three seasons offered the title of "Charm School Queen" to the winners.

Flavor of Love Girls Charm School provides examples of:

  • Ascended Extra: During Flavor of Love, Saaphryi was not only eliminated first, but technically got disqualified over a physical altercation with one of the other contestants over ownership of a bed the first day. This is even brought up in the first episode of Charm School when the girls discard their silly nicknames and Saaphryi has to admit she never got a nickname due to said disqualification. On this show, however, Saaphryi not only lasts until the end, but wins the entire first season!
  • Adult Hater: Although Larissa is an adult herself, it's heavily implied that she hates people that she deems are her elder. This may be why she was so defiant towards Monique throughout the show. It doesn't help that 15 years later down the road that Larissa is proven right about Monique.
  • Aesop Amnesia: When entering this competition, it appears that Heather didn't seem to learn anything from her experience with some of the other female contestants from Flavor of Love. This also leads to her elimination in the second episode. She didn't choose her partner for the challenge wisely, and had she watched Season 1 of Flavor of Love, she would have known how conniving and dishonest Schatar really was (she appeared to have "stolen" New York's jacket and lied many times while taking the lie detector test). This leads to Schatar stealing Heather's belongings, and Heather acting the way Schatar planned for her to act, thus leading to the former's elimination.
  • The Alcoholic: Brooke, especially when it comes to that dark liquor.
  • All Girls Want Bad Boys: The point of the Prom challenge was to teach the girls not to fall for bad boys, which they all fail at miserably, especially Brooke who falls for the ex-convict.
  • Apple for Teacher: Schatar gives Monique an apple in the first episode. Monique just leaves it on the table because it's hot and it was also from Schatar's shirt.
  • Arch-Enemy:
    • Larissa and Leilene.
    • Saaphryi sees Darra as this, although it's one-sided.
    • Larissa attempted to make herself this to Monique.
    • Eventually, Leilene and Brooke.
  • Asian Airhead: Eventually subverted with Leilene, although early episodes did show she struggled a lot with education. During the debate episode she even reveals she only made it to about 10th grade before dropping out of high school.
  • Ax-Crazy:
    • The reason Thela was eliminated was because Mo genuinely had concerns that Thela was so angry and spastic in her behavior that she could be a danger to the other girls in the house.
    • Saaphryi claimed Leilene came off this way after her explosive confrontation with Larissa, saying Leilene came off as the kind of person to get so mad she'd attack a person in their sleep and then not even realize what they've done.
  • Bar Brawl: Subverted. Larissa and Leilene get into a heated verbal altercation after the latter calls Larissa out for her immature behavior towards Monique. Before it could escalate into physical violence, the other girls are able to hold the two back from physically attacking one another.
  • Batman Gambit:
    • Schatar stealing Heather's gown in the second episode counts. She chose Heather as a partner because she found the latter easy to manipulate. Schatar expected Heather to get upset over her stolen items, and for Heather to also get upset when Schatar revealed what she did to Andrew during the challenge. It works, which leads to Heather's eliminaton.
    • Larissa and Shay's Evil Plan to take Leilene's photos and frame Schatar. It works, and Schatar ends up getting expelled.
  • Be Yourself: Played with as the show tried very hard to teach Becky "Buckwild" to embrace being a white girl and not pretend to be black. It sort of works, Becky learns that there's no shame in being "Becky the white girl", but also learns that doesn't take away from her still being Buckwild, deciding she can be both.
  • Berserk Button:
    • Calling Brooke a whore.
    • Inferring Leilene is a bad mother who didn't do the best for her kids.
    • Stealing or disrespecting Saaphryi's possessions, or lack thereof.
    • Calling Becky fake for her mannerisms.
    • Mixing up Larissa and Shay.
    • The episode where Mo'Nique brings New York back to interview the girls is all about this, New York attempts to push the girls' berserk buttons on purpose so they will forget their manners and fight with her ... Becky falls for this the worst out of anyone.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Leilene is normally sweet and friendly towards people, but she has her limits. She shows that she's dangerous when she gets angry. When Larissa makes comments about her mothering skills, she gets so angry and looked like she was about to attack Larissa. Even Saaphryi made comments about her anger.
  • Big Beautiful Woman: Monique, Darra, and Courtney.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Brooke is revealed to have been this in the episode of her elimination. She appeared to have been doing well during the competition and managed to avoid being on the carpet. It's not until the prom episode that it's revealed that she, indeed, never learned anything while at Charm School and behaved promiscuously towards the other guys. She also shows her true colors to Leilene when it was revealed that she was only manipulating the latter to vote for someone else besides her on who performed the worst during the challenge. This also leads to her being called to the carpet for the first time and to her expulsion.
  • Book Dumb: Leilene; she's not stupid, but she just can't handle classic textbook studying. She even mentioned dropping out of high school when she was 17. This is averted after the show, however, as she is shown doing well in a film school.
  • Book Ends:
    • When Heather arrived she tries to claim her name is "Nevaeh", (Heaven backwards; her singer name), but Mo'Nique doesn't buy it. When Heather is eliminated and has to give up her pledge pin, Mo discovers she secretly put Nevaeh on the back of it.
    • During the charity challenge, Mo says that when you give to charity, whatever you gives comes back to you tenfold. During the elimination after the incident with someone stealing Leilene's photos of her family, Mo says that whoever was responsible should watch out, because bad karma also comes back to you tenfold.
  • Boring Yet Practical: Mo'Nique in an effort to help the girls find the 'perfect man' shills who she calls the Urban Renaissance Man ... who came off as rather bland and didn't catch a single one of the girls' attention.
  • Both Sides Have a Point: In the fourth episode, Larissa was right to call Monique out on her Sore Loser tendencies. Monique was also right to tell Larissa to grow up.
  • Break the Cutie: When Larissa makes not-so-nice comments about Leilene's mothering skills, Leilene really breaks.
  • The Bully: Larissa and Shay towards the cast, at least the ones they felt they could intimidate.
  • Bully Magnet: Leilene and Darra were this for the other girls, particularly Larissa, Shay, and Saaphryi.
  • Call-Back:
    • Brooke's spitting on New York is brought up constantly. Also, in the first episode Mo'Nique warns the girls not to defecate on her floor (yes, someone actually did that in Flavor of Love).
    • During the episode in which Tiffany "New York" Pollard is a guest judge, Mo'Nique ends the episode by telling the girls Tiffany would, in fact, be joining them in the competition ... only to tell them she was kidding; Becky was not amused! This was a call back to Flavor of Love season 2, in which New York was brought back causing Becky "Buckwild" to quit the show.
  • Calling the Old Man Out: Larissa calls out Mo'Nique three times for not really being there to help them, saying she's 'full of shit' during the reunion.
  • Clear My Name: The girls do this when they want to know who took Leilene's photos.
    • It was Larissa.
      • Unfortunately, Darra and Schatar were already expelled for something that wasn't their fault, making Shay a Karma Houdini.
  • Clip Show: The second to last episode.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Schatar comes off as this due to her bad weave and her antics.
  • Combat Stilettos: When the girls first put on their Charm School uniforms and come down to the foyer Mo'Nique criticizes a few of them for choosing to put on completely inappropriate 'stripper heels'.
  • The Dividual: Larissa and Shay are seen as this. It's lampshaded by Monique in episode 5 when she decided to split the girls up by making them CEOs. It's also lampshaded by New York when she appears and she gets the duo mixed up.
  • Dirty Coward:
    • Larissa and Shay. These two only seem to bully and antagonize people who appear timid and don't fight back.
    • Brooke also counts. She was able to stand up to Schatar and Leilene, but acted scared and cried when Larissa and Shay confronted her.
  • Don't You Dare Pity Me!: Saaphryi gets livid when Darra tries to give her some clothes that she didn't sell to the thrift store, accusing Darra of being manipulative and trying to treat her like a charity case just to make herself look good before elimination.
  • Do Well, But Not Perfect: Courtney was eliminated because she didn't need her behavior reformed as much as the other girls did. (She took it well, although that was probably because she was also immediately offered a job touring with Mo'Nique's comedy troupe.)
  • Dumb Blonde: Schatar.
  • Dramatically Missing the Point: During Brooke's elimination, Keith tries to point out that her trashy behavior detracts from her better qualities using the analogy of "a gold ring in a pig's snout." The analogy is lost on Brooke, who just gets mad because Keith "called her a pig."
  • Elimination Catchphrase: “You’re expelled.”
  • Et Tu, Brute?: Larissa pulls this on Shay when the latter let's it leak to Mo that Larissa was the one who stole Leilene's pictures and framed Schatar for it.
  • Ethical Slut: Brooke claims to be this as opposed to the "Whore of Charm School". She argues that while she's extremely flirtatious she never actually had sex with any of the suitors during the prom, and says she shouldn't be shamed just because she likes to party.
  • Even Evil Has Standards:
    • Although Larissa had issues with Heather in the past, even she believed that it was unfair how Schatar got away with the theft of Heather’s dress.
    • It was implied in episode 4 that even Shay felt Larissa went too far when she insulted Leilene’s mothering skills.
    • Although Brooke turned out to be a Bitch in Sheep's Clothing in the long run, she thought it was wrong for Leilene to donate her deceased mother's rings.
  • Evil Gloating: Schatar does this, she is very conniving and likes to steal other girls' stuff to throw them off their game, but she always eventually admits to it usually to gloat. This was how Leilene knew Schatar wasn't the one who stole her photos, because Schatar would have eventually admitted it.
  • Exact Words: Larissa attempts to exploit this, but fails to do so when she confesses about taking Leilene's photos. She claims that she "took it and hid it." Monique didn't buy it.
  • Extreme Doormat: Leilene in the first season. She does grow out if it. Brooke even attempts to exploit this at the near end of the show before the finale in the prom episode by convincing Leilene to vote for someone else besides her on who did the worst at the Prom challenge the night before. It didn't work, and Leilene votes for Brooke anyway, causing Broke to lose the second challenge and become furious at Leilene.
  • First-Name Basis: Unlike the Flavor of Love show when they get nicknames, they get rid of their nicknames and use their real names.
  • Foreign Queasine: The first night Mo'Nique hosts a mixer serving hors d'oeuvres such as beluga caviar, escargot, and foie gras ... to which none of the girls are all too pleased about. Fortunately for them, Mo comes out a little later with pizza and fried chicken instead.
  • Freudian Excuse:
    • Saaphryi's aggressive behavior is discovered to be a natural reaction to her being borderline homeless. As she had to learn that you don't put anything that belongs to you down because someone could steal it when your back was turned, she becomes extremely defensive about anything she perceives as her own (like the bed incident during Flavor of Love, or her UGG boots during this show).
    • Larissa also appears to have one as well. In a deleted clip of the show, she would talk about how her mother was too harsh on her when she was a child.
  • Graceful Loser: Courtney, Leilene, and Becky took their losses with stride.
  • Greek Chorus: Courtney.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: Larissa and Thela. Thelma's temper led to her eliminated due to her being seen as a danger to herself and the other girls.
  • Hypocrite:
    • Larissa constantly berates Leilene for being a paid stripper and flaunting her sexuality throughout the show, despite the former performing a lap dance for Flav's friends for free on Flavor of Love.
    • Shay was all too willing to go along with Larissa's Evil Plan to get Schatar expelled, until Schatar (along with Darra) gets expelled. She then rethinks what she does, plays the victim for feeling bad for what she did, and even condemns Larissa for getting angry at her for snitching. Yes Larissa was wrong for getting mad at Shay for snitching, but Shay was no saint herself (but then again, Larissa had everyone in the house think Shay took Leilene's photos). Even Larissa calls her out on this at the reunion episode.
    • Mo'Nique herself after the team she felt were the clear losers ended up winning the debate challenge. Instead of simply congratulating the victors and being gracious to her guest judges (who she willingly deferred to) she instead calls the judges out for getting it wrong and telling the winning team they should have lost. For calling herself the "Dean of Charm School" it was a very uncharming display, and Larissa ends up calling her out here and several times thereafter.
    • Monique again after the show. She criticized Bootz for the latter's low self esteem. Cue years later and Monique has no problem letting her husband cheat on her.
  • Hypocrite Has a Point: Despite being a hypocrite, Monique was still right to make personality assessments about the contestants. She's the dean of Charm School and it is her job, after all.
  • Idiot Ball:
    • In the first season after Courtney's elimination Mo'Nique offered her a spot on her comedy tour. However, during the reunion it was revealed that Courtney had made some very rude jokes at Mo'Nique's expense (purportedly about Mo'Nique having fat, flabby arms), and Mo'Nique promptly rescinded her tour offer. After losing that opportunity, Courtney pretty much gave up stand-up comedy altogether.
    • Leilene in the first season (episode 4) for attempting to confront Larissa in a bar about her argument with Monique. First, Leilene should already know how much of a jerkass and short-tempered Larissa is. Second, a public place for partying is not the right setting to speak to someone about certain matters such as debates. This doesn't excuse Larissa's Kick the Dog moment, but Leilene should have known better.
  • Insufferable Imbecile: Larissa comes off as this by not thinking many things through, combining this with having a nasty attitude.
Saaphryi: Larissa’s dumb, she don’t think that far.
  • It's All My Fault: In some deleted scene videos of the show called "The Losers of Charm School," some of the girls who were expelled from Charm School do admit to their faults in which got them in their predicament. Special mention goes to Heather, who was eliminated due to showing traits of Never My Fault.
    • Shay does this when she confesses to Monique about what she and Larissa did with Leilene's photos.
  • Jerkass: Larissa and Shay.
  • Jerkass Has a Point:
    • You could say Cristal had one by not making herself the model in the runway challenge. She was just admonished the previous challenge about making everything about herself, so when she becomes a leader of her team it would only make sense she wouldn't want to the model. However, Mo'nique points out this was the exact right time to put herself forward since Cristal has experience in the modeling world ... that, and putting Darra in bedsheets and chicken feathers was not the right solution regardless.
    • Larissa and Shay call Becky out on crying for failing the challenge in episode 7 and they say that she's acting like a crybaby. Shay also calls Becky out on trying to run to Monique to speak about what she did wrong. The duo were proven right when Monique calls Becky out on being a quitter when the latter was called down to the carpet. Even Saaphryi speaks about how Becky needs to watch what she says in the clip show episode. Had it not been for Larissa confessing to stealing Leilene's photos, then Becky would have been the one getting expelled.
    • Darra ends up getting really stingy when it comes to the charity challenge and having to sell her clothes and accessories ... however even though it goes against the point of the challenge, it was unfair that she was expected to step up when Schatar didn't have to sell anything because all of her clothes were nasty and damaged.
    • While it was extremely selfish of Larissa to try to throw Shay under the bus for the picture incident, she was completely right on how Shay was just as guilty as Larissa and how Shay loves to act like she's innocent. Shay even played the victim by feeling sorry for herself about it, despite her gleefully going along with Larissa for not only the picture incident, but for her hostility towards some other contestants.
    • Speaking of the picture incident, while it was unfortunate that an innocent party got eliminated its hard to say Schatar didn't kind of deserve it. She had been shown to not really change her personality whatsoever and instead coast through the challenges, even going back to her old tricks like when she stole Heather's dress and manipulating her to win the challenge. It was frankly her own fault her poor reputation caused Larissa and Shay's ploy to work so effectively.
    • Keith, one of the judges, is known to be rude and blunt with his criticisms, but he's not wrong with his criticisms. For instance, he tells Leilene that she's comfortable being a loser. Leilene realizes this and then she tries to improve.
  • Jerkass to One: Larissa is an unpleasant bully, but she's much more abrasive to Leilene than she is with the other girls.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Saaphryi comes off as abrasive and rude, but she mellows out later in the show. She becomes more compassionate towards Leilene when she was hostile towards her in the beginning.
  • Kick the Dog: Larissa takes Leiliene's pictures of her deceased mother and frames Schatar for it.
  • Laser-Guided Karma:
    • For fans who still thought Brooke was owed comeuppance for spitting on New York during Flavor of Love, when eliminated from this show Mo'Nique sees her off by calling her the "Whore of Charm School". This is also for pretending to be a close friend of Leilene's and attempting, and failing, to manipulate her.
    • When Schatar steals and hides Heather's dresses and doesn't get eliminated it appears that she's all set to be a Karma Houdini ... until Larissa and Shay frame her for stealing Leilene's photos, and Mo'Nique tells her outright that she's being eliminated because history tells them that Schatar is a thief.
    • Larissa and Shay eventually get their karma for being outright bitches on the show: Larissa eventually gets kicked off of the show because Monique eventually gets fed up with her attitude and decided that she wasn't going to change. She also learned that Larissa was responsible for taking Leilene's photos. Eventually, Shay gets her karma on the season finale when Becky, Leilene, and Saaphyri gang up on her on the game show challenge to get her eliminated from the competition, and it works.
  • The Makeover: The finale episode has the final two contestants given a makeover completing the journey of them being former Flavor of Love caricatures into Charm School graduates.
  • Manipulative Bitch:
    • Schatar steals Heather's dresses and then reveals what she did in the middle of an interview challenge, causing Heather to become furious and lose the challenge. Despite the fact Schatar gets away with this scot-free during that episode, Larissa and Shay use that against Schatar and get her eliminated later on.
    • Brooke attempts to be this towards Leilene by goading her to vote for whoever Brooke felt did the worst for the prom challenge, but she fails when Leilene voted against Brooke for who did the best and the worst in the challenge.
  • Misplaced Retribution: While Schatar getting punished for the theft of Leilene's photos comes off as Laser-Guided Karma, Darra has to be punished along with her because she was Schatar's partner for that episode (although to be fair, it was likely they were would have been eliminated anyway since they raised the least amount of money for the charity challenge).
  • Never My Fault:
    • Jennifer and Cristal both threw each other under the bus after their team failed the runway challenge, Cristal claiming Jennifer (and Becky) should be eliminated because they designed the ugly dress, even though she basically took over leadership and made the lion's share of the decisions. Jennifer in the meantime claimed she didn't deserve to be eliminated because she took a backseat on the challenge and didn't really help her team, so therefore she shouldn't be held responsible for the ugly design.
    • This is the main reason for Heather's elimination. Mo'Nique claims that Heather always makes herself out to be the victim, and while, yes, the fact Schatar stole her dresses and manipulated her during a challenge about it was wrong, the fact Heather gives into it and refuses to rise above it causes her to get the boot (Schatar was immune from elimination that episode as well, which is how she got away with what she did to Heather).
    • This may also have been a contributing factor to Larissa's elimination. When Larissa confesses to taking and hiding Leilene's pictures, she shows no remorse for what she did and refuses to own up to what she did.
    • At no point does Brooke ever take any responsibility for the actions that led to Mo'Nique calling her a 'whore', instead just bitching about it.
    • A small one towards Darra; yes Schatar being framed for taking the photos was the final nail in the coffin, but the two also raised the least amount of money for charity. Schatar's items were all filthy and damaged, and instead of stepping up, Darra decided to get really picky in what she would sell because she thought it was unfair Schatar didn't have to contribute to their team.
    • Larissa's mom gets in on this in the reunion, by trying to blame Monique for not straightening Larissa's (and the other girls' ) behavior, when it was probably her fault that Larissa was raised to be a spoiled brat.
  • Nice Girl: Leilene, Heather, Darra, and Courtney.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero:
    • Thela goes to see Mo'Nique in the first episode to explain that she has anger management issues, possibly to appeal to Mo'Nique's sympathies or to set up an excuse for her future behavior. Instead, Mo'Nique decides to eliminate Thela first since she realized someone with anger issues would be a detriment to the other girls.
    • Brooke was doing very well throughout the first season.....until she had to act like a whore in the prom challenge, which led to her elimination.
  • No Indoor Voice: Larissa seems to scream a lot. It's noted in the debate episode.
  • Obnoxious Entitled Housewife: Larissa and Brooke show shades of getting upset when they aren't able to get things to work the way they want it to.
  • Only Sane Woman: Monique and Courtney. Also Leilene on occasion among the other girls, especially closer to the end of the show after she's matured considerably.
  • Pandering to the Base: In-universe when the girls have Darra act as their fashion model instead of the much more obvious choice, Cristal (who actually was a model in real life), to appeal to Mo'Nique as a Big Beautiful Woman. Mo'Nique not only flat out calls them out on what they're doing, but also says they missed the mark completely because Darra looked a mess, with chicken feathers on her eyelashes and an unflattering dress made out of Mo'Nique's own drapes!
  • Perpetual Frowner: Larissa in most scenes always looks angry.
  • Perpetual Smiler: Courtney is almost always smiling or laughing in her confessionals.
  • Pop Quiz: The final four girls are tasked with making questions and then quizzing each other, whoever misses three questions first being eliminated. Saaphryi and Becky actually convince Leilene to form an alliance with them so that they will only ask questions to Shay, bullying her out of the competition.
  • Pretty Fly for a White Guy: Just like in Flavor of Love this is pretty much Becky a.k.a. "Buckwild" in a nutshell. The shows seems to try and break her out of his habit, but by the end she instead learns that she can be Becky the white girl, but also be Buckwild as well.
  • Professional Butt-Kisser: Shay towards Larissa.
  • Proud Beauty: Cristal was sent to charm school because she enjoyed talking about how she was a model.
  • Psychopathic Womanchild: Larissa was already an immature woman child from the start, but in the episode of her elimination, Keith outright calls her a psychopath, which makes her fall into this trope.
  • Really Gets Around: Brooke, especially in the prom lesson. This led to her elimination.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Keith is a blunt judge, and will give the girls a harsh assessment of themselves whenever they are called down to the carpet. Downplayed with Monique and Mikki, as their assessments come off as less harsh.
  • Sassy Black Woman: Larissa, Saaphryi, and Monique.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: This was the reason that Becky was originally planned to be eliminated in the episode Larissa was eliminated. A major flaw of Becky's is that she always wants to quit when things go bad for her (such as in Flavor of Love when she almost quit when Like Dat confronted her, and when she quit when New York returned). She was even planning to quit because of the picture incident.
  • Single Mom Stripper: Leilene is a mother of 3 who stated that she started stripping at age 17 and to help put food on the table and feed her kids.
  • Slut-Shaming: Brooke, in particular during the reunion when Mo'Nique grills her about how she'd explain her whoring behavior to her grandchildren. Brooke stands her ground though, and argues that she didn't actually have sex with any of the prom dates.
  • Small Name, Big Ego: Cristal had one, which led to her elimination.
  • Sore Loser:
    • Mo'nique, in spite of the fact she wasn't even on the losing team in this instance. During the debate challenge when she deferred judging to a guest teacher, and that teacher awarded victory to the team Mo'Nique personally felt were the clear losers she loses it. While she does uphold the guest judge's decision she doesn't hide the fact telling him he was wrong, and telling the winning team they were awful and should be up for elimination. Her attitude comes completely out of left field and sets in motion a lot of hurt feelings and flared tempers for the rest of the season (this could be seen as the point Larissa took a major turn for the worse). It also helps that Brooke, who didn’t even like Larissa, agreed with the latter.
    • This partially played a role in Cristal's elimination. Cristal spent the episode being bitter over being benched from participating in the debate challenge, which Saaphryi brought up when she and Cristal were on the carpet. This influenced Monique to expel Cristal.
    • Brooke acts like this again (the first time was on Flavor of Love). When she gets eliminated due to her unladylike behavior, she gets all salty and upset.
  • Spin-Off: The show is a spin-off of a spin-off of a spin-off of a spin-off!note
  • Spoiled Brat: Larissa certainly comes off as one with her horrible attitude.
  • The Stoner: Thela reveals that she used to (and still does) smoke a lot of marijuana. When she tries to argue her case of staying with Mo, she's so spastic that Mo'Nique actually wonders if Thela was high right there in the moment.
  • Those Two Guys: Gender inverted. Larissa and shay are almost always together.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: Larissa made a clear leap in jerkassery in the debate challenge, after her team wins but receives a verbal smackdown from Mo'Nique, she take personal offense and tells Mo off right there in the debate room. Immediately after, she gets into an altercation with Leilene, calling her a bad mother. From that episode onward, she just gets progressively more bitchy and manipulative until her elimination.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: Saaphyri becomes less hostile as she used to be in later episodes of the show. She went from a jerkass to a Jerk with a Heart of Gold.
  • Tragic Keepsake: Leilene had a ring that was given to her by her mother who tragically passed away. Leilene ended up selling it, only for it to be returned to her at the end.
  • Voice of the Legion: When Saaphyri makes a comment on Cristal, the producers add an effect on her voice, making it sound like it.
Saaphyri (in the edited voice): Let them go home! Lord, don't let 'em win!
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: Thela, who got eliminated in the first episode in the first season.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Larissa's mother calls Mo'Nique out during the Reunion Show for chesting up to her daughter, when she was supposed to be helping the girls become better people.
  • Womanchild: Many other contestants (including Monique herself) have repeatedly told Larissa that her bullying and temperamental behavior resembles the behavior of a little girl.

  • The Alcoholic: Gia gets extremely drunk on the first day.
    • This was Marcia's biggest problem, and eventually it got to the point where she swore that if she had another drink on the show, she would expel herself. She sticks to it, and winds up reaching the finale.
  • The Bully: Ashley.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: After feeling that she had gotten everything that she could out of Charm School, Bay Bay Bay willingly leaves in order to give the other remaining girls a chance to grow.
  • History Repeats: Gia gets eliminated in the first episode due to her drunken behavior, just like in Rock of Love.
  • Jerkass: Ashley and Ki Ki.
  • Nice Girl: Bubbles is by far the nicest member of this season's cast.
  • Non-Gameplay Elimination: Five over the course of the season.
    • Beverly gets expelled for attacking Brittaney.
    • So Hood quits after Ki Ki's expulsion, feeling that Ricki made the wrong choice.
    • Farrah quit because she couldn't deal with the drama.
    • KO quits after Bay Bay Bay offers to leave of her own accord.
    • Bay Bay Bay voluntarily leaves because she feels that the other girls could benefit more from Charm School.
