Bad Boys is a 1995 comedy about Fraser Hood and Malky Mulherron, two rival Glasgow gangsters. After briefly reigniting their longstanding feud with one another, the two join forces against a pair of London Gangsters trying to encroach on their patch.

Not to be confused with the Buddy Cop action movie of the same name starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.

Provides examples:

  • Big Fancy House: Downplayed. Fraser lives in a very nice detached Victorian villa.
  • Cut His Heart Out with a Spoon: As is expected for a show that relishes in the Glaswegian tradition of extravagant threats of violence, there are plenty of these:
"I'm away tae see my personal trainer. Otherwise I'd restring my racquet with your entrails."
  • '80s Hair: Malky sports a particularly magnificent mullet.
  • My Local: Wayne rings up Morag up from Benson's, a particularly rough pub next door to the Nitshill post office.
  • Never Mess with Granny: When Wayne goes knocking on doors looking for Big Mad Mental Benny Two-Hammers McGlashan, one old lady answers the door with a baseball bat in her hand.
  • Putting the Band Back Together: Fraser tasks Wayne with getting all the old Nitshill Boys back together for a turf war. Wayne soon finds that they're Feeling Their Age and would rather stay home on a Friday night and watch Brookside and Grace Under Fire.
  • Small Name, Big Ego: Fraser, although Wayne is quick to cut him down.
Fraser: The name "Fraser Hood" still carries some weight in this town.
Wayne: So do the bags under your eyes.
  • Social Climber: Fraser and Betty are both keen to build up their reputation with their posh neighbours. Betty is particularly pleased when she hears that Alistair, Morag's boyfriend, has a father who's a Grandmaster in the Freemasons.
