  • Deadly Prey, a DTV B-movie, received a sequel, The Deadliest Prey, in 2013, and basically rehashed the plot from the first film.
  • Good Burger (1997) and Good Burger 2 (2023 Paramount+ original)

  • Coffin Joe: Brazilian filmmaker José Mojica Marins made a trilogy about his Author Avatar character Coffin Joe. The movies are At Midnight I'll Take Your Soul (1963), This Night I'll Possess Your Corpse (1967), and finally Embodiment of Evil (2008), only 41 years after the second one. Of course, that doesn't mean he did nothing at all this years, even using Coffin Joe in minor roles in his other projects.
  • The 1967 Kaiju movie The X from Outer Space got a sequel in 2008 called Monster X Strikes Back: Attack the G8 Summit in which Guilala, the titular "X" battles a warrior god named Take-Majin and North Korea (sorry, the "North Country") tries to nuke the Kaiju. 41 years! Would have been shorter if Shochiku (Guilala's creators) had succeeded in a deal with Nikkatsu to pit their own Kaiju against each other in Guilala vs. Gappa back in the 70s.
