Schedule Slip / Nick Jr.

Go To

Nick Jr. often had this problem as Nicktoons did with their scheduling:

  • The Backyardigans' last season took nearly 4 years to air (October 2009 to July 2013) and they were also aired Out of Order, creating some continuity confusion.
  • When Blaze and the Monster Machines first premiered, it had several new episodes air for three days over the next two weeks; however, since then, the show's followed a pattern of airing one to three new episodes per month. It also often skips one month over.
  • Blue's Clues ran into this during its fourth season with five episodesnote  not airing on TV until 2003 (for the former three) and 2006.
  • Bubble Guppies ran into this during its third and fifth seasons.
    • The Season 3 episode "Fruit Camp!" did not air until a month after Season 4 had started airing.
    • The Season 5 episodes "Taste Buddies!", "Fogzilla!", "Bigfoot Crossing!", "A Load of Litterbugs!", "Something Fishy Going On!", "Race to the Oasis!", "Escape from Volcano Island!", and "Bubble Puppysaurus!" were aired from November 2021 to September 2022. Season 6 had started airing the month before.
  • Initially, new episodes of Butterbean's Cafe aired most weeks; when the show moved to the Nick Jr. channel, it was restricted to one or two new episodes a month as part of "Girls Rule Sundays". The show was also aired Out of Order.
  • While most seasons of Dora the Explorer take only a couple of years to finish, season 4 took almost seven years to finish airing on TV.
    • The Season 2 episode "Super Spies" aired on December 7, 2007, long after Season 3 had finished airing and Season 4 started airing.
    • It has been the norm for new seasons to premiere before the previous season has finished airing, which could range from a few months to years.
    • Season 8 seems to be getting the same treatment as Season 4 did, with several unaired episodes being aired in the UK and Canada long before their US airdate. The reason is due to production for Dora and Friends: Into the City!.
  • Face's Music Party was hit with this with the season 1 finale "Mega Party" not airing until November 2022 when the rest of the season finished airing in August.
  • Go, Diego, Go! had an unfortunate case of this with the season 3 episode "Egyptian Camel Adventure", which was aired in July 2013, long after the rest of season 3 and all of season 4 finished airing.
  • Nella the Princess Knight was hit with this during season 2 as three episodes were held off until July 2021 when they were aired on Paramount+.
  • Sunny Day had a similar case to Nella the Princess Knight with ten episodes not airing until 2020 when they aired on Prime Video.
  • Team Umizoomi was hit with this during its final season with 2-3 month hiatuses between new episodes.
  • Wonder Pets! ran into this during a few times:
    • "Save the Baby Birds!" aired on May 23, 2008, long after the rest of Season 1 had finished airing. Its sister episode had already aired in June of 2007.
    • The same incident happened later with "Kalamazoo!" which aired on July 26, 2010, long after Season 2 finished airing. Its sister episode had already aired in June of 2009.
    • The final season took 7 years to air (April 2009 to October 2016) with four episodes not airing until they were aired from 2013 to 2016. However, other countries had aired season 3 earlier.
