The Inverted Shadow's videos contain examples of:

  • Bloody Hilarious: As per the case in Team Fortress 2, certain videos have character deaths played for laughs.
  • Forced Transformation: People getting turned into chocolate bars happens a couple of times. (Both Rarifruit + Shimmercakes gets a pleasant surprise)
  • Running Gag:
    • An upside-down man dashes across the background while saying "Feisty!" every once in a while, often when someone says the word "feisty."
    • In more comedic cases, a death can involve the person's head shrinking, with a Pain Train appearing in its place with a Demoman's voice rapidly announcing it before the character in question drops dead in an instant.

  • Distinction Without a Difference: Pinkis Cupcake won't hurt Rainbine, she'll just eat her.
  • Many Spirits Inside of One: To distinguish her from Grzysweet 89's Brutwilight Sharple (a pure Twilight/Christian Brutal Sniper hybrid,) Brutalight Sparcake is Twilight Sparkle possessed by two TF freaks, Christian Brutal Sniper and Weaselcake.
  • Portmanteau: Many of the Pony Freaks' names are combinations of the pony host and the freak possessing them.
    • Rarifruit is Rarity possessed by RubberFruit.
    • Painis Cupcake is Pinkie Pie possessed by Painis Cupcake.
    • Rainbow Dash disturbs Scombine's grave, becomes possessed and names herself Rainbine.

    • Brutalight Sparcake is Twilight Sparkle possessed by both ().

Lyrish is a series of animations made by TheInvertedShadow ().

(Synopsis)

The Lyrish series contains examples of:

  • From Bad to Worse: Towards the end of ONoI, Bon Bon is forced to lock herself in a room outside of the security office to keep the corrupted Fazpie animatronics from getting her. She realizes a few moments later that she just trapped herself with the Withered Fazbear gang, who choose that moment to awaken.
  • Magitek: Robo-Lyra, who is fully robotic but has the same range of abilities as her flesh-and-blood counterpart. Similarly, The Puppet has the ability to spawn animatronics out of thin air.
  • Nightmare Fetishist: Lyra gives evidence of this. Her rationale for wanting the job at Fazbear's Fright is that it would be fun to see what it would be like to almost get killed by giant robots, never mind her taking the night guard position at the original Fazbear's establishment in the first place.
  • Offhand Backhand: In ONoI, Golden Pinkie gets spawned into the establishment and tries to jump-scare Bon Bon. This only gets her backhoofed out of existence, with Bon Bon being irritated and nothing more.
  • Older Than They Look: At the start of the series, Lyra and Bon Bon seem to be young adults. By the time the third episode rolls around, decades have passed in-universe; yet, neither of them look as if they've aged at all. Likewise, how Lyra's robot companion has stayed functioning for that same length of time without showing any signs of wear and tear is not explained.
  • Only Sane Man: Compared to her happy-go-lucky roommate and said roommate's loyal robot companion, Bon Bon is a paragon of sanity. Of the three, she's the only one to realize that having anything to do with the Fazbear's Fright establishment is a terrible idea. And next to the thoroughly twisted Magic Mare and Painset Shimmercakes, both of whom become tentative allies of the trio by series' end, there's just no comparison.
  • Present-Day Past: Each episode features a Running Gag depicting a television playing anywhere from 3-5 random video clips in a row. The first two episodes take place as far back as three decades before the present day. Why JonTron or the The Cat in the Hat movie would be turning up on TV at that point is never brought up.
  • Pre-Asskicking One-Liner: Painset Shimmercakes delivers one of these before going to town on the Nightmare Animatronics.
"This time, when I burn you, you'll stay dead!"
  • Robot Buddy: At the end of the first episode, Lyra takes pity on one of the animatronics that attacked her and takes it home with her. By the time of the sequel set decades later, the robot is now a full-fledged member of the household and is wholeheartedly loyal to Lyra.
  • Running Gag: If there's a TV screen in the room, eventually it will start playing anywhere from three to five random video clips in a row that never last more than two seconds. Material ranges from 2 Stupid Dogs to Starlight Glimmer yelling "I was frozen today!"
  • Trash the Set: The protagonists' home is consumed by fire at the end of the series, forcing them to relocate.
  • Vocal Dissonance: Bon Bon, a female pony, was given a very gruff masculine voice for the latter half of the series. Prior to that, what few noises she made were provided by miscellaneous audio clips.
