The Askosverse (2018-present) is a Pokémon Alternate Universe FanFic created by Jaydreamer, published in both writing and video format. It follows a set of original characters within the Pokémon universe, focused around three new fan-regions - "Askos" (The Place), "Fritho", and "Delwis". Each location has a brand-new set of characters, Fakemon, and [[stories that all link back in to each other]], forming a cohesive narrative.
The Askosverse is mainly enjoyed on YouTube, but also has supplemental content published on AO3.
Works in the Askosverse series:
Project Askos (2018)
Pokemon Petunia (2020)
Askosverse Shorts (2020-2021)
Project Pandora (2021)
Pokemon Lavender (2022)
Pokemon Edelweiss (TBA)
The Askosverse contains examples of:
Alternate Timeline - At the end of Project Pandora, a viewer-made decision causes this to happen, splitting into Timeline A (the timeline where Elara talks Atiel out of being evil), and Timeline B (the one where Elara destroys Project Pandora).
Continuity Lock-Out - It's necessary to watch everything that released between Petunia and Pandora to understand Pandora.
Elective Mute - Most of the main characters of each project either don't speak at all, or speak very few lines.
Internal Homage - Lavender is a remake of Askos, so many things from the original are straight-up copy and pasted. To a lesser extent, Petunia also does this a few times.
Jumping-On Point - A fix to the above Continuity Lock-Out, as Lavender and Edelweiss are aiming to do this.
