Taimanin Yukikaze is the fourth entry of the Taimanin visual novel series, set in the same universe as Taimanin Asagi, preceded by Taimanin Murasaki and followed by Taimanin Asagi 3.

The story focuses on the titular character Yukikaze Mizuki and her childhood friend Rinko Akiyama, alongside Tatsurou, Rinko's younger brother infiltrate the corrupted city of Yomihara in the hopes of finding Yukikaze's Missing Mom Shiranui. However, as their mission progresses, things don't go as planned.

Originally released on September 16, 2011, it would eventually made a brief trial release on Steam on July 9, 2020 before it was later removed. And like Taimanin Asagi making a proper release in 2023, Taimanin Yukikaze released on April 30, 2024, published by Shiravune.

Taimanin Yukikaze provides examples of:

  • Action Prologue: The novel begins with Yukikaze, Rinko, and Tatsuro on an assassination mission, having fight their way through their target's bodyguard squad of beastmen.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Asagi and Sakura arrive to rescue Rinko and Yukikaze from the doomed mission.
  • Bittersweet Ending: In the true ending, Yukikaze and Rinko's infiltration mission is aborted and thus, Shiranui remains unfound. Regardless, the two kunoichi are free to fight another day.
  • Contrasting Sequel Protagonist: Yukikaze has a lot of traits that set her apart from her predecessor, Asagi:
    • Asagi is a shapely adult woman, whereas Yukikaze is a petite teen.
    • Asagi's Taimanin Art serves to supplement her impressive skill with the katana, while Yukikaze, still yet to properly master her own Taimanin Art, has a pair of pistols that act as her Power Limiter.
    • Asagi had a lover and was set to marry him before the events of her novel drove them apart, while Yukikaze and her love interest, Tatsuro, have only just begun to make progress in their relationship here. Furthermore, while Asagi was lured by her lover being held by the villains, Yukikaze was rescued from the villains because Tatsuro asked for the ill fated mission to be aborted.
  • Corrupt Politician: Yazaki, leader of a prominent political party, associates with demons in the prologue. Yukikaze is annoyed he can't be killed in ther assassination mission as she thinks the worlds is better off with him gone.
  • The Dreaded: Asagi's imposing prescence is enough for Real to free Yukikaze and Rinko from their bonds.
  • Protagonist Title: Yukikaze Mizuki, the Anti-Demon Ninja, or Taimanin is the eponymous heroine of Taimanin Yukikaze.
  • Self-Censored Release: Like Taimanin Asagi, The Steam version of Taimanin Yukikaze cuts off all h-scenes, and even the bad ends to being simply being full of them.
  • Well-Trained, but Inexperienced:Yukikaze and Rinko are said to exemplify the next generation of taimanin, with the skills to show for it. The fact remains however is that they are still inexperienced rookies in over their heads. In the ending, Asagi, in the midst of rescuing them, chews them out for falling into such a obvious trap.
