Suicide Is Painless is, according to the description, supposed to be about a character committing suicide happily or without a motive as implied by Driven to Suicide. The name is vague, being a reference to the theme to M*A*S*H where it doesn't actually occur, which the trope notes in the description. It seems to attract confusion with the idea of "painless" suicide methods, or other suicide tropes. It is also not clear if this is supposed to be inclusive people who commit suicide happily with a motive (such as to avoid dying of terminal illness; to avoid being caught; etc.)
