Strike Witches: Operation Victory Arrow is a three-episode Original Video Animation series set in Fumikane Shimada's World Witches universe. It is produced by SILVER LINK. and directed by Kazuhiro Takamura.
Picking up shortly after the Battle of Venezia, the 501st Joint Fighter Wing members have gone their separate ways.
Its story is followed by Strike Witches: The Movie.
Operation Victory Arrow provides examples of:
- Ascended Extra: As with The Movie, Heidemarie gets more screen time in this OVA.
- Demoted to Extra: Since this OVA primarily focuses on the other members of the 501st JFW, Yoshika, Sanya, Eila and Mio all have minimal appearances.
- Foregone Conclusion: Since this is a prequel to Strike Witches: The Movie, we already know Yoshika will attend a medical school in Helvetia and travel to Gallia, Perrine will adopt Julius and Rose, and Minna, Barkhorn and Hartmann will stay in Belgica until they receive word of Yoshika's whereabouts.
- Fun with Acronyms: The OVA in the work's title is short for Operation Victory Arrow.
- Heroic Sacrifice: Julius and Rose's father, who was a soldier of the Dutch Resistance, covered for their escape from Arnhem, but at the cost of his own life.
- Interquel: Operation Victory Arrow takes place between the second season of Strike Witches 2 and Strike Witches: The Movie.
