I'm just going to use my Sandbox to list my original characters as if they were from an [adult swim] show.
Jaspertona is a 2024 TV show created by Mitsy 56 for [adult swim]. It follows the daily life of 22-year-old Mitsy Spriggs, Quinn, and Floory Thornbury in the fictional town of Jaspertona, Flordigan. Other characters include local Indie musician Zack Stabber, Mitsy's little brother Stevie, their Homophobic neighbor Caren, and the local Middle School children.
It ran for one season before getting Quietly Cancelled due to low ratings.
Mitsy Spriggs
Mitsy in her iconic blue snowflake sweater.
A 22 year old woman that works as a show runner at [adult swim] and lives in the fictional state of Flordigan.Her design was inspired by an illustration
by Jack Stauber.
- Ambiguous Disorder: Her strict routine, hand shaking that can be interpreted as a stim, and her extreme interest in collecting videotapes can imply that she may be somewhere on the spectrum.
- Berserk Button: Do not mess up her snowflake sweater.
- Collector of the Strange: Mitsy collects VHS tapes and other generally weird trinkets.
- Does Not Drive: Mitsy never learned to drive, as revealed in "Stabber Vs Thornbury".
- Limited Wardrobe: She's the only one that wears the same clothes in almost every appearance, with it being her snowflake sweater and tan pants. The only time we see her in other clothes is from episodes taking place after "Live At The Burger Joint", where she wears a purple sweater with an orange fish, and the Halloween episode where she and Quinn dress up as Bloberta and Clay Puppington respectively.
- Nasal Trauma: In the pilot episode, Mitsy jumps off the high dive at the local public pool. However, she accidentally jumped too far to the side, which resulted in her slamming her nose against the concrete (oddly enough, instead of breaking her nose, she suffered a severe nosebleed). Mitsy actually has chronic nosebleeds, but whether they got worse or not due to the high dive incident remains unclear.
- Stylistic Suck: Her show for [adult swim], The Horny Adventures Of Peebles The Beluga Whale makes 12 oz. Mouse look like Disney material.
- Trademark Favorite Food: Mitsy likes Nothing Cookies (chocolate chip cookies without chocolate chips).
- What, Exactly, Is His Job?: Originally played straight, since Mitsy usually works from home and doesn't discuss what she does for her job. The episode "Stabber vs Thornbury" reveals that she work for [adult swim] as a show runner. Apparently even Quinn didn't know what she did for a living, and only found out when they had to give her lunchbox to her when she went to the office business party.
Quinn
Mitsy's romantic partner (and fiance later on). They work at a Spencer's in the local mall.
- Only Sane Man: Depending on the situation
Florence "Floory" Thornbury
Mitsy and Quinn's next door neighbor. An Australian immigrant that lost his parents in a car crash at 16. He works at a Target.
- Awesome Aussie: Subverted, he's a pretty run of the mill guy.
- Berserk Button: Don't take his fries. And if you accidentally do, don't tease him about it.
- Frivolous Lawsuit: He decides to sue Zack for taking his fries. The case gets dismissed the second the judge discovers exactly what the case is about.
- Messy Hair: He keeps his long, frizzy brown hair in a ponytail most of the time.
- Only Sane Man: In some cases, but he tends to be this more than Quinn. Subverted when Zack took his fries, and the resulting argument started a food fight. And then he decided that it would be a smart idea to take him to court regarding it.
- Straight Gay: More like Straight Bi, he doesn't show any stereotypical gay or bisexual mannerisms.
Zack Stabber
An Expy of Jack Stauber. However, unlike Jack, he's not as popular, resulting in him doing most of his concerts at fast food restaurants. He does marketing for [adult swim].
- Expy: Of Indie musician Jack Stauber. Zack even has an equivalent to Opal called JADE. However, there are several differences between the two, such as Buttercup not existing, and Zack being less popular than Jack.
- Ink-Suit Actor: He looks EXACTLY like Jack Stauber.
- Trademark Favorite Food: Zack can be seen at live performances carrying a gallon labelled "CLEAR MILK". Unlike Jack Stauber, who fills it with water as a joke, it's heavily implied that the liquid in Zack's gallon is actual Clear Milk, based on Floory's reaction when drinking out of it.
- Unconvincingly Unpopular Character: Zack isn't as popular as his Real Life inspiration, which results in him only doing performances at local fast food joints and at office parties. However, he's done almost everything Jack Stauber has done (with the exception of releasing "Buttercup" on Pop Food, which could be one of the main reasons why he isn't as popular).
Stevie
Mitsy's younger brother. He stays with Mitsy and Quinn during "Stevie"
- Aerith and Bob: With Mitsy. However the reasoning behind Mitsy's odd name is because of a birth certificate error that stuck.
- Annoying Younger Sibling: Mitsy considers him to be one, since he takes her stuff without letting her know and runs off in the mall.
- Bratty Half-Pint: He creates tons of chaos in Mitsy and Quinn's house in the span of a week.
- Practically Different Generations: Mitsy and Stevie have a 12 year age gap.
