A seemingly normal person who, contrary to all logic and social norms, is revealed to casually be friends with very abnormal people, especially those the average person would avoid. The Friend To All Outcasts is an outgoing, friendly character who almost literally gets along with everyone, regardless of their strangeness or sometimes even evilness.
The gangsters down the road? He goes drinking with them on weekends. The Mad Scientist that lives in his mother's basement? He plays chess with him on Tuesdays. The faceless Slime monster The Hero usually battles to level up? They text each other all the time. Not to mention he's besties with the Big Bad. This guy just doesn't judge.
While you would think that being friends with outcasts and bad guys would make this character disliked by those around him, it's more likely that people find this something to be in awe of and admire him all the more. The Jerk Jock and Alpha Bitch who would ordinarily steer clear of anyone associated with weirdos on the bottom rung of the school hierarchy tend to be just as charmed by him as the outcasts.
