  • The Atoner: After she accidentally ordered NCR snipers to open fire on what she thought were a bunch of Great Khan warriors but were actually women and children, Gilles was demoted and given command of the Bitter Springs refugee camp to assist the survivors. During Boone's personal quest, Gilles leads the NCR defense against the Legion and can die trying to save Bitter Springs.

"What are the chances of me botching another routine procedure in the same day?"

A "doctor" who hangs around outside of the Dino Dee-Lite Motel who provides medicals services and drugs to those who can afford it.

  • Back-Alley Doctor: She has dirty tools, sells addictive chems on the side, and implicitly doesn't have any sort of training whatsoever — her Medicine skill rests at a measly 12. For comparison, the default Medicine at the start is 15 — after being shot in the head. Her services, however, are just as effective as those of any other doctor in the game and most of them are a fair bit cheaper. Her lack of skills are Lampshaded by her paid guards:
    Guard: You must be desperate.
Guard: I wouldn't let her work on me!

"I'm with the Followers of the Apocalypse, and I help the locals in Westside grow crops. Unlike the NCR, the Followers don't expect anything back."

A member of the Followers of the Apocalypse who moved to Westside to aid the settlement in creating a secure source of water and growing plants.

  • I Did What I Had to Do: Justifies his stealing of water from the NCR and murder of Corporal White as necessary actions so that Westside could grow and prosper.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: He dislikes the NCR for putting money ahead of people and will do anything to ensure that Westside can function independently without help from the government.
