Sonderweg (German for "Special Path") is a Star Wars fanfic written by Muse of Schleissheim and is a rewrite of their previous story, A Second Chance.

The story follows Darth Vader after the events of Return of the Jedi, where he falls down the reactor shaft with the Emperor and instead of dying, finds himself back in time to the events of the Clone Wars. There is one major problem however...

Darth Vader has no memory of his past. All that he knows is that he is a Sith Lord.

Perhaps this will be to the galaxy's benefit, or perhaps not. Time will tell.

Sonderweg provides examples of:

  • Affably Evil: Vader is rather courteous and polite with most people, in large part thanks to his amnesia having erased his trauma and internal conflicts, meaning he lacks the Ax-Crazy and Bad Boss tendencies he normally had.
  • Benevolent Boss: Despite his feared reputation, Vader treats those under him rather well. He's fair with them and even contacts Ventress to congratulate her on a job well done.
  • The Dreaded: It does not take long for Darth Vader to establish himself as a feared and powerful enforcer for the Separatists. Yoda became terrified just from sensing his presence.
  • Gone Horribly Right: One of the wrenches Vader throws into Palpatine's plans is that he's too effective in his actions, often terrifying worlds into joining the CIS when his plans would work better if they'd joined the Republic.
  • Red Baron: Because of his horrifying exploits, Darth Vader has been referred to as "The Nightmare of Milagro".
  • Villain Protagonist: Since Darth Vader is the primary character by which the story revolves around and serves the Separatists, this is a given.
  • Wistful Amnesia: Vader only remembers about himself is that he is a Sith Lord, his fighting abilities, and his tactical brilliance. He cannot remember his past as either Anakin Skywalker, nor can he remember the Empire or his servitude to Palpatine.

Fates of Ice and Fire, written by Dschehuti, is a crossover fic between A Song of Ice and Fire and Fate/Zero.

For the Fourth Holy Grail War, the seven Servants summoned are not those from Earth's history and myths, but those of another world. A world of seven kingdoms. And these warriors bring their own stories and regrets to the table.

Let the tragedy of blood and steel begin.

Fates of Ice and Fire provides examples of:

  • Adaptational Heroism: While it's mostly rooted in the books, in the live-action show, Saber ultimately returned to his amoral ways and would side with his insane sister at the end. Here, he's implied to have outright killed his sister to put a stop to her madness.
  • Blood Knight: Saber and Lancer are this. In Saber's case, he can't help but thrill at the new superhuman abilities being a Servant has provided him with and how fights can now resemble the myths they were told in.
  • Came Back Strong: All the Servants, due to being brought back to life with the superhuman abilities being a Servant adds, but special mention goes to Rider, who is restored to his physical prime.
  • Deliberate Values Dissonance: Saber was responsible for killing his king and later queen when they caused much strife and harm to the realm. Such acts in his time were seen as dishonorable, villainous, and conniving. He finds it rather shocking that his Master and his family view such acts as noble and heroic.
  • Mistaken Identity: From both sides. When Saber is first summoned, Emiya assumes him to be Arthur. Saber informs him that he didn't get the Sword of Morning as expected, not knowing that he was referring to the King of Camelot.
  • Revenge Before Reason: Averted. Lancer remembers his death at the hands of Berserker during Tyrion's Trial by Combat and how this trope caused it, so he fights to kill rather than make him confess his crimes.
  • Secret Identity: Subverted. While the Servants are referred to by their class titles, they find that it's rather pointless to maintain anonymity with other Servants and Masters since most of the summoned Servants knew each other in their past lives.
  • Taught by Experience: Even though Lancer has never met Assassin before, he quickly sees through her magical disguise and warns his companion to wash her hands after she touched Assassin's ball in case it was poisoned. He explains that he's faced assassins from the House of Black and White in the past, so he's familiar with some of their tricks.

The Pale Man is a DC Comics/Game of Thrones Fusion Fic written by StarKnight2-0.

The story is set in a fused world where many DC characters exist as major players in the setting of Westeros. Many of them set to shape the future of the world of ice and fire.

The Pale Man provides examples of:

  • Action Mom: Selina is capable of fighting and, besides taking care of multiple orphans, is also the mother of Lyra and Billy.
  • Adaptational Heroism: Selina in this story is not a thief nor is she Catwoman here. She's instead a caretaker for orphans.
  • Adaptational Wimp: Downplayed. Selina isn't helpless here, but she was never Catwoman and lacks her comic counterpart's skills and acrobatics.
  • Affably Evil: With how chummy Leonard is with Jon and Samwell, it can be easy to forget that he's an unrepentant thief. Even Jon had a hard time believing he was an actual crook and not a willing member of the Night's Watch.
  • Ambiguously Related: Robert had been visiting Selina for quite some time and the two children she cares for most, Lyra and Billy, are stated to have an uncanny resemblance to the late king of Westeros. Despite this, Selina insists that they aren't Robert's bastards by her, yet at the same time refers to Billy as her son, making it questionable if she's being honest, lying to keep them safe, or if they are Robert's bastards by someone else that she adopted. The driving question of whether or not they are the bastard children of Robert Baratheon leads to them getting targeted by Cersei's men, and the question of whether or not Selina was one of Robert's lovers leads to her being targeted as well.
  • Antagonist Title: The Laughing Prince is one of the major antagonists and is referred to as "The Pale Man", which is the title of the story.
  • Body Horror: Lysa's visions of Scarecrow paint him with a horrifying visage. His face is crawling with starving maggots as black ooze pours out of his mouth.
  • Comic-Book Movies Don't Use Codenames: Due to being set in the more grounded Westeros, many active DC characters either go by their actual names, Red Baron titles given to them, or less outlandish monikers.
    • Batman is only ever referred to as The Dark Knight, though the Joker does call him "bats" every now and then.
    • The Laughing Prince is the name of the Joker here. Though he's also referred to as The Pale Man.
    • Mick never goes by Heat Wave and is instead called "The Burned Criminal".
    • Selina isn't called Catwoman at all, but she is derogatorily referred to as a cat by some characters.
  • Dark and Troubled Past:
    • Like always, Bruce lost his parents when they were killed right in front of him.
    • Selina was just a young girl living on the streets when the Sack of King's Landing happened.
  • The Dreaded:
    • The Laughing Prince is feared throughout all of Westeros. The sight of him causes Mass "Oh, Crap!" reactions and his insanity terrifies even high ranked lords.
    • Ras Al Ghul is called "The Demon" for a reason. Even Khal Drogo, another example of this, is genuinely weary of him.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Slade is a cold-blooded sell sword, but he's disgusted by what Gregor did to Elia and her children. He's also shown to be very caustic and insulting towards the amoral guards and knights of King's Landing who feign being honorable and good.
  • Related in the Adaptation: Billy Batson in this fic is Selina's son...possibly.
  • Worf Had the Flu: Robert, who at this point was well past his prime, gets beaten in a straight fight by the Laughing Prince.
  • You Remind Me of X:
    • Slade tells Arya that she reminds him a lot of his own daughter, Rose.
    • Part of why Robert fell in love with Selina was because she reminded him so much of Lyanna, as he explains to Ned on his death bed.

"Actions have consequences. The actions of Overwatch left behind a shockwave that rippled through the world and touched countless lives. Now, with Overwatch broken and lost, new heroes must rise, even from the darkest and most unlikely of places."
-Summary of Ripple Effect
Ripple Effect is an Overwatch fanfic written by Psychopithicus that follows a group of OC characters as they navigate the world post the fall of Overwatch and band together against a common threat.

Ripple Effect provides examples of:

  • Affably Evil:
    • Amos is a Talon soldier, but he's actually a pretty nice guy, though he averts the "evil" part of this after he overcomes his brainwashing and joins Overwatch.
    • Tina's pretty friendly with others so long as they're not an Overwatch agent. She easily strikes up a companionship with Junkrat and Roadhog, and despite her initial dislike, starts getting along with Thunderstrike as well, even though she never stops being a remorseless thief.
  • Born Lucky: The best way to explain how Amos has survived situations that would have killed a standard Talon grunt a hundred times over is that he's just really lucky.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: The main reason Amos was following Talon's orders at first was because all soldiers like him are put through mental reconditioning that makes them into obedient sociopathic slaves. The story begins when he shakes off his mental programming.
  • Calling Your Attacks: Thunderstrike often yells out his namesake whenever he discharges a large electrical blast.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Subverted in Tina's case. Ana treats her past like this, but Tina could hardly care less. To wit, her parents died, and she was left an orphan. Said orphanage that she grew up in trained her to be a thief, but Overwatch stepped in and took it down and she was sent spiraling into foster care. Thing is, Tina actually liked stealing and being taught by the other thieves at the orphanage and the foster system she was put into wasn't bad, just boring to her.
  • Department of Child Disservices: Subverted. Unlike what Ana expected, Tina wasn't abused in foster care. She states that it wasn't bad, but she hated it because, for her, it was a boring slog to put up with.
  • Freudian Excuse: Tina hates Overwatch and those that follow them because they shut down the orphanage she was living at (which was actually a front for a thievery operation) and sent her to foster care. Since she loved stealing and making tools to do so, she grew to hate Overwatch with a passion for being killjoys.
  • The Generic Guy: As far as the protagonists go, Amos is just a standard Talon grunt with a lot of dumb luck on his side.
  • Genre Refugee: Most of the characters in the Overwatch setting are in line with what you'd expect from western superhero comics. Thunderstrike, meanwhile, has far more in common with the protagonists of Shonen anime and manga, as he's an absolute chivalric ham who calls out his attack names at the top of his lungs.
  • Hey, You!: Tina is very insulting towards either members of Overwatch or those who take after them, calling them "Watchbait" to mock them.
  • Legacy Character: Thunderstrike's actually the second of his kind. The first was his older brother, who was also a member of Overwatch back in the day.
  • Older Than They Look: Despite Tina having the appearance of a girl in her mid-to-late teens, she's actually in her early twenties. This shocks the Overwatch members when she explains it to them.

Pieces Alone is an Arcane fanfic written by Szept.

Luxanna "Lux" Crownguard visits Piltover alongside her family during the first Progress Day following the creation of the Hex Gates. On that day, she meets and befriends a young girl her age who only goes by Jinx.

Years later, as a member of the Illuminators, she's sent back to Piltover on a covert assignment, and in the process, meets the friend she made long ago.

Pieces Alone provides examples of:

  • Hates Rich People: Jinx's POV shows how much she utterly despises Piltover and wants to see its wealthy occupants burn and suffer.
  • Not Me This Time: Marcus comes down to the Last Drop to question/berate Silco when violence breaks out in a Piltover university, with him thinking it's related to Shimmer. The incident in question actually involved Lux and had nothing to do with Silco's operations.
  • Switching P.O.V.: The story shifts from character points of view for each chapter. The first two chapters are set from Lux's POV (Both before and after the Time Skip) and the third chapter is set from Jinx's POV.
  • Who Names Their Kid "Dude"?: When Jinx first introduces herself to Lux, the latter questions why someone's parents would name their child after bad luck or misfortune.

Hazbin Happenings is a series of short, interconnected, mostly slice of life/fluff Hazbin Hotel fanfics written by whitebeltwriter.

This series provides examples of:

  • Auto Erotica: Happens between Charlie and Vaggie in the aftermath of the latter's proposal. Nothing's shown, but it's made quite clear that, between Razzle rolling up the divider and them telling him to "take the long way home", they spent quite a bit of time having sex in the back of the limo.
  • Berserk Button: Quevies are a pretty big one for Lucifer, as a lot of them invade his garden and ruin his plants. It's to the point where he armed his garden with mounted flamethrowers and goes on a several minute rant about how they just won't go away.
  • Big Damn Kiss: Happens between Cherri Bomb and the redeemed Sir Pentious at the end of The Greatest News, only this time Cherri's the one who instigates it.
  • Born as an Adult: Vaggie, as in What We Deserve, she opens up about this to Charlie, explaining that her first memories of existence were just being given a spear and forced to fly laps around a track alongside other Exorcists.
  • Date Peepers: Angel Dust intended to do this in A Prenuptial Conversation for Charlie and Vaggie's big date, but Husk was able to stop him...and then Lucifer shows up and officially orders them to do this.
  • Never Gets Drunk: According to Sir Pentious, angels can't actually get drunk. Though it's left unclear if this is down to angelic biology or if, as he puts it, the drinks up in Heaven just don't have the same kick as those in Hell do.
  • Tom the Dark Lord: Niffty, who, according to Husk, was once an Overlord like him.
  • Sexy Discretion Shot: Vaggie and Charlie's date, ending with the former's proposal, toward the end of A Prenuptial Conversation, has them engage in a passionate make out session in the latter's family limo. The scene cuts away to them arriving back at the hotel, with the princess and Fallen Angel exiting the car even more disheveled than when they entered it.
  • Shaking the Rump: Male example with Lucifer. In The Greatest News, after learning that Charlie was right about redemption during the big meeting with Emily and Sera, he proceeds to twerk at Sera in a form of Unsportsmanlike Gloating.
  • Squee:
    • In A Prenuptial Conversation, Niffty lets one out after opening the box Vaggie was carrying and seeing the ring inside. She lets out a second one when Vaggie confirms that, yes, it's a wedding ring, and yes, she was going to propose to Charlie.
    • Emily lets out one in The Greatest News upon learning that Charlie and Vaggie are engaged.
  • Unsportsmanlike Gloating: Charlie and her dad engage in this towards Sera in The Greatest News upon learning that the former was right about redemption. Charlie pretty simply rubs it in Sera's face, while Lucifer straight up twerks at her. Though with Charlie, when one takes into account the amount of crap she's had to endure from both Heaven and Hell for her beliefs, she's definitely earned the right to be smug about it.
