- Ambiguously Brown: Essential Reader's depicts him as having features of an Asian ethnicity.
- Ambiguous Situation: He might've survived Order 66 and renamed himself Spiker, joining a gang.
- Meaningful Name: His core name would be Guraman, which means "peace of God" in Sanskrit.
- One-Shot Character: Only appears in Secret Missions and its comic, Strange Allies.
- Really Royalty Reveal: "Nuru" is derived from "'nuruodo', meaning that he is from House Nuruodo, one of the Ruling Families of the Chiss.
- The Unreveal: So... why was he in an escape pod in the middle of nowhere in the Outer Rim as a baby? Presumably, the intent of not answering this in the series was as a Sequel Hook.
- What Could Have Been: He originally could've been a Nautolan or a Sullustan, but it was decided that the target audience would more easily identify with a near-Human protagonist.

A friend of Lanchu Skaa and the Jedi that discovered Nuru's escape pod in the first place. After Skaa died in the First Battle of Geonosis, Ambase became Nuru's new master. During a mission to investigate a possible alliance between the Kynachi and the Separatists, his ship was attacked, causing him to go into a coma and fall in Separatist custody.

- Call-Forward: At the end of Strange Allies, she tells Palpatine that the Chiss Ascendancy will consider an alliance with him after the end of the Clone Wars.
- Fantastic Racism: She looks down on outsiders and doesn't see Nuru as a fellow Chiss due to him being uneducated on Chiss customs & being a poor ambassador.
- One-Shot Character: Only appears in Secret Missions and Strange Allies.
