    • To Yugo from the Bloody Roar series, both have a werewolf-like second form(s) and transforms into said form during battles. The only main difference is that Wolfgang is a Tang Soo Do practitioner, as opposed to a boxer like Yugo.
  • Blood Knight: To him, fighting is his way of life. Hence, justifying his intentions of entering the King of Iron Fist Tournament.

Wolfgang, on the other hand, is a lone wolf, but gets along with his clients and friends who he worked alongside. Fuuma rarely fights in the frontlines and acts as a Mission Control for his team, Wolfgang enjoys fighting and seeking stronger opponents.
    • To Hwoarang, both utilize a Korean martial art and serve as a rival to one of the main characters. Unlike Hwoarang, Wolffy is not above pestering Fuuma into putting him on a Training from Hell, desiring to see Fuuma become stronger in the day they will fight.
