- Unlike usual portrayals in the franchise, Lucifer here is devoid of any positive qualities. Having conquered most of the Expanse in the past, Lucifer sent his minions to cause havoc into the human world. After his first defeat, Lucifer injected demon DNA into the protagonists Setsuna Kai and Mirai Kaname, turning them into the Devil Children. At some point he also had Fenrir exterminate Cool's clan. In the present day, Lucifer seeks to conquer the rest of the Expanse, and attempts to do this by painfully brainwashing benevolent demons into evil demons that bring chaos across the Expanse—which brings negative consequences to the human world as well. After reaching his full power, Lucifer spreads his evil influence across the entire Expanse, which causes tremendous cataclysms in the human world, before attempting to burn the remaining good demons alive after Aziz and Belial are defeated. When finally facing the Devil Children, Lucifer offers them to join him, only to horribly electrify Setsuna when the latter defies him.
