Rewind is a 2023 fantasy romance film from the Philippines starring two of the country's biggest stars (and real-life couple), Ding Dong Dantes and Marian Rivera.

John and Mary Nuñez are a couple who sacrificed their dreams to be a family, but John's workaholic tendencies have been driving a wedge between them and their son Austin. One day though, Mary is killed in a car crash, which throws John into a deep depression. A few days later, he encounters Lods, an electrician who Looks Like Jesus. The mysterious man gives John a chance to go back in time before Mary's death, and save her life. However, this change will have to come at a cost.

Thanks to the couple's sheer star powers caused it to gain lots of attention, and as of 2024, it is the highest-grossing Philippine film of all time, with over 1 billion ₱.

Not to be confused with Rewind (2013).

This film contains examples of:

  • Balancing Death's Books: John is only able to go back in time to save Mary by offering her place in death.
  • Bittersweet Ending: Mary survives her car crash, but as part of his deal with Lods (now confirmed to be Jesus), John must die in her place. Still, he is comforted by a future where Austin follows his dreams, and in the film's final scene, an elderly Mary is reunited with John in death.
  • Looks Like Jesus: Lods not only looks like him, but also shares his nickname with a portrait of Christ that John keeps around. This is intentional, since his powers come from actually being Jesus.
  • Plot-Inciting Infidelity: The main action of the story is kickstarted by Mary discovering John having a secret kiss with his younger colleague, unaware of the context.
  • Surprise Car Crash: John being distracted during an argument causes him to swerve into a tree, killing Mary.
  • When You Coming Home, Dad?: John is more focused on his work than his family.

In 2001, Jay-Z was in tough times. In a bitter feud with Nas and awaiting trials for drug charges, he, along with an up-and-comer named Kanye West, crafted this album.

"In the history of long ass movie series, you will find the champion of them all. It is one of the longest and the assiest."
Allison Pregler on the franchise.

A Long Runner of a series if there ever has been one, Witchcraft is a series consisting of sixteen (yes, sixteen) B-Movies, released Direct to Video between 1988 and 2016.

Not to be confused with Witchery, a Linda Blair film sometimes labeled as Witchcraft.

This series includes examples of:

  • The Other Darrin: Inevitable with a series this long. Most characters are played by more than actor. For example, William Spanner is played by eight different actors during the series.
  • Retroactive Recognition: The original actor to play the adult William is played by Ross Newton, who would later be known as Greg Marshall in the Australian soap opera Home and Away.
  • Sequel Goes Foreign: Witchcraft 10 goes to England.
