There are so many Running Gags on the show that it actually gets on some people's nerves at times.
- Mario being shown as baldnote .
- Bowser Junior making fun of Chef Pee Pee's nose.
- Brooklyn T. Guy talking about his loads of jobs.note
- Junior and Joseph, especially the latter, trying to convince Cody that Ken is not a real person.
- In Joseph's case, he will usually say, "He's a doll, dude!" to which Cody replies with: "He's not a doll, Joseph!".
- Junior's theory of the Sun being a planet. It seems every episode that Junior has new evidence about the Sun being a planet, all of which is total garbage; his primary reasoning is that the sun is round like a planet, and he believes that actual stars have five-pointsnote .
- Junior and Joseph insulting somebody (usually Cody), and then saying "savage"note .
- Most frequently, Junior and Joseph insult Cody by making fat jokes about his mother, while also calling her either a pig, whale, or cownote . Thing is, though, that given his mothers' promiscuous behavior, it seems justified.
- A lot of gags and references are constantly made about Joseph's dead mom, as well as Joseph's terrible home life and Sanity Slippage resulting from her deathnote . It later turns out that Joseph's mom didn't die, she faked her death and abandoned (and later disowned) Joseph out of hatred and greed.
- Junior's inexplicable hatred of Big Hero 6note .
- Jeffy pooping in his pants. On a related note, his diaper stays clean while his pants get dirty, since his diaper is on the outside of his pantsnote .
- Jeffy making animal noises, specifically chicken soundsnote . Disappeared after Anthony (who provided these noises) was laid off from the cast.
- Mario calling Jeffy a bad boy, causing Jeffy to bump his head on the closest wall, forcing Mario to change his mindnote . This gag has been subverted several times, with Jeffy occassionally cussing Mario out instead.
- Jeffy cussingnote .
- Whenever Hansel appears, he references Mario, calling him "cheeseburger man"note .
- Jeffy's hatred of Green Beans.
- Jeffy throwing stuff, and saying it "slipped", despite Mario telling him that he did it on purposenote . The "slipped" part of the gag later disappeared, and was replaced with him either saying "whoops" in an indifferent tone, or doing it as part of a rant.
- Cody taunting Junior by talking about the time he banged his dad while in Chef Pee Pee's body, much to Junior's angernote .
- Junior and Joseph making fun of Cody's age note .
- Jeffy constantly beating up Bully Bill note .
- Chef Pee Pee disguising himself, tricking other characters into falling for it, and then saying, "Nah, it's just me nigga!"note This gag eventually died out within the span of a month of it being introduced.
- Cody getting free McDonald's medium french fries every week.note
- Thematic running gags used in particular episodes:
- One in "Chef Poo Poo's Kitchen Disaster!" is people mistaking the titular character for Chef Pee Pee.
- "Bowser Junior's YouTube Channel!" has Junior saying the N-word and subsequently getting beaten.
- What other word in "Cody the Magician!" gets a gag of its own? "MINDFREAK!"
- The word "stupid" becomes a Verbal Tic in "Jeffy's Stupid Home Video!".
- Cody's parents repeatedly dialing Cody in "Bowser Junior Gets His Nose Pierced!". When Junior and Joseph notice his phone ringing, Cody lies that it's a pizza chain trying to order him free pizza.
- Cody being reminded of Ken's death in "Broken" from watching something cut in half or even hearing/reading the phrase "in half".
Cody: IN HALF!!! (cries)- Junior doing a savage dance in "Loch Ness Monster!". Cody later does it himself near the end of the video.
