Contest Royale is a Play-by-Post Forum RP by VampirateMace hosted on Serebii forums set in the Teen Titans TV show universe. In the wake of supervillains rising all over the country, the Teen Titans have decided to have more Titan towers built all over the land and assign heroes to them. One such new group of Teen Titans are assigned to Chromium City and just a few days after all the members have gathered, they're dragged into Control Freak's "contest". Hijinks (and tempers) ensue as the Titans finish the challenges, try to keep people safe as they do them, and attempt to find the villain in the process.
The RP started on December of 2015 and ended on May of 2016. One of the few RPs on serebii to have finished in recent times, ending at six pages long, it can be found here.

- Action Girl: Camilla and Linda definitely are, considering they're female heroes.
- Abusive Parent: Lucas's mom and Max's dad.
- All Your Base Are Belong to Us: The Tower gets hijacked by Control Freak. Thankfully for them, they get it back soon.
- Big Bad: Control Freak, who (as said) is putting them through a "contest".
- Face–Heel Turn: Archie turns bad at the end. Though he's still more noble than some villains.
- Family-Unfriendly Death: Control Freak gets brutally killed by Archie at the end.
- Dark and Troubled Past: Max and Lucas certainly have them since both had abusive parents, with the supportive one dying at one point. And Lucas having a few mental disorders because of what happened.
- Distaff Counterpart: Max and Archie are a male Star Sapphire and Amazonian, respectively.
- Heroes Gone Fishing: What's the firwt thing they do after completing Control Freak's first challenge? They go get pizza.
- Heroic BSoD: Linda has a brief one after sacrificing her personal item.
- Kid Hero: Despite the title, most of the Titans are legally adults (and older, in Ama's case), only Linda and Camilla are really teenagers.
- Precision F-Strike: Linda, a Roman Catholic, swears for the first time in the day (and probably for her life) after Control Freak issues his fourth challenge.
- Queer Romance: Max and Lucas. Max constantly flirts with Luc, and Luc reciprocates.
- Relationship Upgrade: Max and Lucas get one after Max sacrifices his most treasured item.
- Rube Goldberg Machine: One was holding Linda and Archie's precious items over lava.
- Sadistic Choice: Control Freak takes a precious item belonging to each member of the team, then places the items in a situation where only one item can be saved. Forcing the heroes to make a decision on which item to save.
- Shout-Out: Quite a few of them, though considering who started the contest, it shouldn't be too surprising.
- MacGyver and the Doctor were mentioned by Control Freak when he declared his contest (found in the sign up thread).
- Kamen Rider Drive has been referenced several times, mostly by Linda, who's a fan of it. She's also referenced Sonic the Hedgehog, blatantly naming her dog after the hedgehog.
- The victory fanfare for Pokémon and Final Fantasy were heard after diffusing some of the bombs.
- The theme song of Neon Genesis Evangelion was played after Control Freak issues his second challenge.
- Linda mentions that the fire truck she fights reminds her of Heatwave.
- Timed Mission: Their first challenge involves diffusing Hollywood-style bombs in two hours.
- Transformation Trinket: Linda has her family's gloves while Max has his Violet Lantern ring.
- Two Girls to a Team: Out of the six members of Chromium City's Teen Titans, there are only two girls, Camilla and Linda.
