Sword Art Online: Our New Reality is a Play-by-Post Game on Gaia Online. It takes place in an Alternate Universe version of the original series' Aincrad arc, and thus takes some liberties with Aincrad as a setting. It is a continuation from another thread known as Sword Art Online: A New Reality.
Months have passed since the official launch of Sword Art Online, and people have learned to live inside the game. Guilds have formed, and some believe there may be a light at the end of the tunnel. By Organizing, training, gearing, and leading the attacks on the boss rooms, Front-line Nexus has done wonders for the people of the game. As one of the largest guilds, as well as the leading group on the assault to escape the game, their reputation has become that of legends. The founder, Reko, the same man that organized the first boss room battle has become that of a celebrity. His second in command, The Masked Swordswoman (also known as Kaede) has become a famed fighter. In truth, it seems nearly everyone from the first boss battle has gone on to do great things in their own aspect.
But they are only on the 25th floor. Many dangers still await, and many players still may not make it to see the end. . .

Sword Art Online: Our New Reality contains examples of:
- Action Girl: Most of the female cast.
- Anyone Can Die: It's an SAO rp, and so death is a possibility.
- Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: Presumably what happens to dropped characters. But since this is an SAO RP....
- Ensemble Cast: It's a forum RP, so all the player characters are the main character.
- Time Skip: Our New Reality takes place a few months after the original thread, and there are more planned throughout the RP's plotline.
