"We're certainly inactive, but don't mistaken us for dead."

Star Force RP is a roleplay forum dedicated to the Mega Man Star Force series. It takes place some time after the events of Mega Man Star Force 3, featuring... Whatever character you deem fit to create. Your character can basically be whatever you wish, and can then interact with a million and a half other characters already created.

The forum was created by Acora in August of 2007, after a few members of another forum, Mega Man EXE, almost on a whim. As the member base grew, more and more staff were created, some of which would leave for explained reasons, while some of the others would just simply disappear from the forum altogether. Eventually, the staff would get together and attempt to make a Weapons Guide to ease newbies into making their weapons. Due to exploits and overall inconsistencies, this would be rehauled several times.

In 2010, the forum would begin to expand exponentially. The shop of the forum reopened, making access to new attacks easier, introducing dice rolls, and giving each element benefits beyond having advantages over each other. A betting arena was also created, just in case a huge fight happened and people wanted to take sides. Towards the end of the year, just about all libraries were updated, while Indie Frags and Rogue Form were introduced.

Some time between 2010 and 2012, one of the site's Transformations, known as Star Breaks, were removed. In the middle of 2012, these were reintroduced as well as the Tribe-On system. At the end of 2012, the site would at last get it's current domain: starforcerp.com. In the very next year, Player-Made Mega Cards were created, which allowed your to summon another person's character to perform some attack. They also brought back a mission board to help motivate roleplay.

In 2014, the site's activity and active members would hit a bit of a speed bump. The site essentially went on hiatus from maintaining affiliates and such as it began to fix it's own problems. In the process, two new staffers were added, known as GodLikeImmortal, or Glim for short, and Gaia. Still in 2015, while having made much progress, the forum still resolves problems within itself, before it can finally remake their affiliates and maintain a larger member base again.

Star Force RP has examples of the following tropes:

  • Bad Powers, Good People: Nova due to being the first ever character to use Dark Waves, which are almost as dangerous as the Chaos that Exa uses.
  • Battle Aura: Some characters get these when they activate a transformation.
    • Dark Giga has one that boosts his attack power to ridiculous levels.
  • BFS: Quite plausible completely legitimately, using appropriate drawbacks or with a Big Bang Weapon.
  • Blade Spam: A very common tactic, employed by many. Notably, Beta, who can use his absurd speed to land quite a number of hits in quick succession.
  • Continuity Cameo: Classic Megaman made an appearance in one of Gaia's Gift Invasion threads where Jack was seen playing Super Smash Bros. on his Wii U
  • Cool Sword: Subverted. These kinds of swords may seem cool at first, but so many people have one that they inherently become less 'cool.'
  • Demoted to Extra: Lash, and every ex-mod.
    • Full Tribe Ons got replaced with Remnants, which are never quite as powerful do to the lack of the Link Force Bigbang, the so-called fluff, when really it was easily much more especially in the case of Wood Ninja.
  • Elemental Powers: Basically the entire premise the battle system is based upon.
  • Elemental Rock-Paper-Scissors: The first Elemental Cycle. Water beats Fire, Fire beats Wood, Wood beats Electricity, and Electricity beats water.
  • Escaped from the Lab: Beta.
  • Guide Dang It!: The Aquila Thunder never told Nova that he could us the Battle Card he was given to access a transformation.
    • This wasn't the only occasion as the admins rarely ever even implied that it was possible to transform using their battle cards.
  • Heroic BSoD: Zuhal's depression after he lost Del.
    • Nova suffered one after an incident at the Junkyard on Dream Island involving Jake Rayner and Callisto both of whom were each using a Super Mode due to having Zerker and Saurian's OOPArt causing Nova to view the OOPArts as something that must be destroyed.
      • Prior to being a character, Nova suffered a brief one when Drake Kaizer pressed Nova's Berserk Button by killing his girlfriend, causing Nova to hunt him down.
    • Steve, upon thinking about his past.
  • Heroic RRoD: Nova when Falzar pressed his Berserk Button at Grissly Resort. His wizard Giga-Cyz had been taken down in a fierce clash. With Giga out of commission, Nova was forced to Dark Wave Change with Giga's dark counterpart to fight alongside Cindy and Beta to ensure Falzar wouldn't hurt anyone else.
    • At the same time, Cindy gained the Zerker Sword and used its respective Super Mode to protect Nova.
    • Nova Dark Wave Changed again later to try to get Blade to see what was down the path he was taking when he tried to kill Aaron (not Boreal) out of revenge, all the while pointing out simillarities between Blade and who Nova used to be.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: LastDesire
  • Master Swordsman: We have quite a few.
  • Mirror Match: Nova and Dark Giga often fight each other, Dark Giga being an evil version of Nova's Wizard.
  • I Need No Ladders: Blade was once seen using a series of jumps to get to a Wave Road instead of a Wave Station.
    • Another instance occured with Nova who used jet boots to fly onto a Wave Road after he inadvertently caused Dark Giga to shoot a Wave Station by messing up his aim. Nice Job Breaking It, Hero.
  • Names to Run From Really Fast: Lastdesire.
    • His character, Chaos Exa, who has quite the reputation even with the Satellite Admins.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Nova broke a Wave Station in a battle in his Mirror Match over the Ninja Shuriken in Whazzap.
  • Noodle Incident: Gigaxisomegabass
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Zigzagged with Nova, who occasionally has these.
    • Played straighter with Dark Giga, who always has these in his Wave Conversion.
    • Played even straighter with Chaos Exa as he causes trouble for everyone.
  • Rule of Three: The maximum number of active characters that an individual member can have.
    • Also the maximum number of attacks a single Character weapon can have.
    • Also the max number of actions you usually get against each Wave Warrior opponent. Averted when Chaos Server grants you another action.
    • For a while it was also the number of instances of this trope as well, but now it is also the number of Attack/Ability slots on a Tribe Remnant.
  • Super Mode: All transformations, especially Tribe Ons.
  • Unperson: Random 1
  • Yandere: Cindy, who is somewhat insane.
  • Yellow Eyes of Sneakiness: Played straight with Dark Giga-Cyz who always has these when he isn't using Dark Waves to Wave Change without Nova because he is always up to something.
