Seize the Bay is a Crusader Kings II-style empire Quest originally created by author Unqualified Questor, set in the world of Worm one year before the events of the story. Years after the fall of the Marquis, his personal advisor and lawyer William Blake (also known as The Count), a parahuman with the power to perceive and exploit weaknesses and vulnerabilities in physical objects and living beings, has returned toBrockton Bay with what remaining members of the original Marche he could gather. With this revived Marche at his command, he aims to retake control of Brockton Bay.

As a Quest, players vote on the Count's actions and development of his gang in between updates written by the author, as the Count leads the Marche to take back their home city from the three gangs that rose up in their place.

Seize the Bay provides examples of:

  • Amoral Attorney: William is a practicing attorney, and in the past served as The Consigliere to the Marquis and is currently the leader of the Marche.
  • Attack Its Weak Point: Essentially how William/Count's power works.
  • Badass in a Nice Suit: The Marche are certainly badass and are dressed in custom made suits fitted with ballistic weave, kevlar, and cleverly hidden metal plates.
  • Badass Normal: Most of the members of the Marche are from the original gang, so they are already hardened criminals. Add to the fact they have access to military grade weaponry, and they are a force to be reckoned with.
    • The Irish Mobsters that Wulver recruits into the Marche are also certainly this as they are all normal humans who went toe-to-toe with gangs that had parahumans in them in Boston.
  • Co-Dragons: Echo and Wulver are essentially the Count's right hand men in running the Marche.
  • Cute Mute: Shade the Case-53 is physically incapable of speech and is full of boundless curiosity and energetic eagerness to please that even the jaded veterans of the Marche have warmed up to him.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: The Mafia they may be, but many in the Marche draw the line at selling hard drugs.
  • Evil Power Vacuum: When the Merchants are effectively destroyed by the Marche and the police, their territory and business more or less come up for grabs. The Marche were quick to seize up ther territory of the drug dealing gang, while the ABB and Empire 88 attempt to break into the drug dealing business.
  • Illegal Gambling Den: Running a numbers racket is one of the Marche's sources of income.
  • Irish Explosives Expert: Wulver has knowledge on how to manufacture crude, homemade explosives and firebombs for the Marche. His only explanation is that his father was a part of the IRA and doesn't elaborate further.
  • A Lighter Shade of Black: The Marche compared to literally every other gang in the city. When your competition includes Human Traffickers, Neo-Nazis, and drug dealers who can and will sell to children, it really isn't that hard to be the lighter shade.
  • The Mafia: As one in-universe PHO user puts it, the Marche are just the mafia but with superpowers. Their dedication to their mafia roots almost borders on Gang of Hats territory.
  • Make Some Noise: Donovan Hall/Echo's power is sound manipulation, allowing him to silence, amplify, or redicrect noises near him.
  • Our Werewolves Are Different: Sean Bligh/Wulver's power is to turn into a seven foot tall Wolf Man with Super-Strength.
  • Police Are Useless: Subverted. The BBPD, with info supplied to them by the Marche, are able to make a huge bust on the Merchant. They even captured Mush!
  • Villain with Good Publicity: Invoked by the Marche as they go on an extensive social media campaign to make themselves more appealing, often highlighting their Lighter Shade Of Black nature compared to the other gangs as well as making internet memes by the truck load.
  • Villainous Legacy: Years after the Marquis defeat and the Marche being destroyed, The Consigliere of the Marquis, William Blake, returns to Brockton Bay with the surviving members of the Marche to take back the city the gangs that filled the Evil Power Vacuum.
  • Villainous Rescue: The Marche come to the aid of the BBPD when the Merchants attack in retaliation for their drugs, money, gang members, and Mush being captured by the police.
