"So let's see if we got everything.
Plot, Hell, Despair, Dels being tortured, biweekly demons, Dr. Hinata, Souda, Dels is an asshole, The bot hates Fuyu, and Max torture.

...Fuck it, I'm making a TV Tropes page and that's the quote."
EnderEmerald46, describing the RP in about one sentence.

Graduation Hall is an Alternate Universe roleplay on Discord. It is based off of Danganronpa, with existing characters and locations from the series (and a few Original Characters). The concept is this- it is a real time roleplay where when people graduatenote , they get to join one of two sides: Remnants or Future Foundation. Expect a lot of changes between the canon and the RP.

An archive of the roleplay can be found here http://sta.sh/2vppmh23413

    General
  • The Atoner: Kibara post Lost Arc.
  • Ax-Crazy: Kibara. Dels is even worse, as the Ultimate Psychopath. Genocider Syo is also this, but not to Kibara's scale.
  • Big Bad: Kibara could count, as the leader of the Remnants and the most antagonistic of the characters. However, at the end of the Lost Arc he no longer fulfills either, with Togami taking his place as the leader of the Remnants and acting more like his pre-tragedy self.
  • Big Damn Heroes: At the end of the Lost Arc when Hajime and everyone else, minus Kibara, don't want to kill Dels, Byakuya suddenly comes in and shoots Dels, killing him.
    • Max of all people in the Revenge Arc. When Dels comes into the infirmary he, Kibara, and Chiaki are being cared for in, he shoots Kibara and Chiaki's bloodbags. Max proceeds to go feral and kill Dels with relative ease. This could be because it was actually a Dels robot- the real Dels is dead.
  • Big Good: Subverted. You'd think Max, as the leader of the Future Foundation, would be one of the more heroic characters. His solution to bringing out Izuru was to whack Hajime in the head with a wooden board, he openly hates Teruteru to large extentsnote , and he once jammed a pickaxe into Kibara's skull among other possible things.
  • Breather Episode: The Peace Arcs are these. Unless you're Max in the Second Peace Arc, then it's all downhill.
  • Chekhov's Gun:
    • Max's wooden board from before the plot begins is what is used to awaken Izuru within Hajime in the Boat Arc.
    • In the Flip Arc, Max attempted to kill Kibara by stabbing him in the heart, but Kibara said he had none to stab. In the Lost Arc, Kibara nearly dies...but does not for said reason. AND THEN it comes back in the Despair Arc as what ends up keeping Kibara from dying.
    • During the Lost Arc Kyoko and Fuyuhiko investigate the library, Fuyuhiko goes outside the building through a crack on the wall and finds a boat (which Kibara had been planning on escaping in earlier) later on after Chiaki lost her memories Dels gives her her old uniform which was found in said boat.
    • Early on in the roleplay a Dels clone almost shoots Kyoko however they end up disarmed and Fuyuhiko takes their gun. He has this own him for the rest of the roleplay but it's never mentioned until the lost arc where Fuyuhiko shoots Dels during his fight with Kibara in order to stop things from getting worse.
  • Cool Big Sis: Toko to Kotoko.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Max.
Byakuya: How can you call yourself the leader if you are an utter buffoon?
Max: I don't know, how can Dels be the leader if he's in a coma?
  • Despair Event Horizon: Happened after the end of The Second Peace Arc.
  • Foreshadowing: In the Boat Arc Max tells Hajime to stop analyzing him. In the Flip Arc, Hajime analyzes him and is able to figure out his life before joining the Future Foundation, revealing the rather dark details.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: Max and Fuyuhiko.
  • Idiosyncratic Arc Naming: Every arc follows a naming pattern of one word that fits the arc, followed by Arc.
  • Killed Off for Real: As of the Despair Arc, Chiaki and Alpha. Until the time loop, that is.
  • Large Ham: Max. In the earlier (see: pre-plot) parts, he would normally enter by rushing in through the door. Even if said door likely didn't exist beforehand.
  • The Medic: Due to Hajime basically becoming half Izuru thus giving him many talents early on in the rp Hajime is the go to doctor whenever someone gets hurt (which happens a lot).
    • Later on in the roleplay Mikan graduates becoming this as well.
    • Adding further Kenshin Yukimura is the ultimate doctor, making him this by default.
  • Mood Whiplash: In the Peace Arc, Kibara managing to cure Max of his puppetry...followed immediately by Kibara getting shot, kickstarting the Revenge Arc.
  • Original Character: Max Endoso (Ultimate Dollmaker), Dels Kibara (Ultimate Psychiatrist) and Dels (Ultimate Psychopath). Strangely enough, the former are both the leaders of their respective faction (Max to Future Foundation, Kibara to Remnants).
    • As of recently two more Original Characters have been introduced Alpha and Kenshin Yukimura (the ultimate doctor).
  • People Puppets: Max is one of these until the end of the Peace Arc.
  • Put on a Bus: At one point in the roleplay Byakuya leaves on a vacation and isn't present in the story from then on.
  • Too Kinky to Torture: Syo
Syo (after being chained to a wall): Oh Master I didn't know you shared the same fantasies as me~
  • Sanity Slippage: Max engages in one after having his skull restored at the end of the Flip Arc. However Hajime's analysis of him implies that he's been engaging in one for a while.
    • He has one another one in the Revenge Arc after Kibara is nearly killed, causing his mind to become fractured, leading to him becoming feral.
  • Sir Swears-a-Lot: Fuyuhiko.
    • Max is this when pushed over the edge.
  • Yandere: Toko/Syo are this to Byakuya

Season 1

    Boat Arc

    Flip Arc
  • Asshole Victim: Kibara getting his head bashed in with a pickax at the end of the Flip Arc.
  • The Dog Bites Back: Max successfully attacking Kibara with a pickaxe to the head.
  • "Freaky Friday" Flip: Max and Dels engage in one during the Flip Arc.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Max bashing Kibara in the head is what drives him insane, kickstarting the Lost Arc.
  • Not Himself: Literally weaponized by Kibara in the Flip Arc by use of a ray gun that can turn someone's personality into its complete opposite. By the end of the arc both Max and Chiaki are flipped, and while they are eventually unflipped, it's followed by Max's Sanity Slippage and Chiaki having her memory wiped, so they still played this trope for a bit longer.

    Lost Arc
  • The Bus Came Back: Byakuya comes back at the end of the Lost Arc to shoot Dels.
  • Out of Focus: Max is not as involved in the Lost Arc as he was in the Boat and Flip Arcs. This comes from how early on Dels puppeteers Max, forcing Mikan and Hajime to tranquilize him so he doesn't hurt anyone. He only wakes up once the arc is completed. He did however kickstart it by bashing Kibara's head with a pickax at the end of the Flip Arc.
  • Unusually Uninteresting Sight: Played for Drama when Kyoko and Fuyuhiko first come back to the infirmary after investigating the library they find Kazuichi without a hand to an acid burn however Hajime doesn't seem to notice... until it's brought up causing a Heroic BSoD this is because Kibara had brainwashed Hajime with a video prior to this

    Peace Arc
  • "Oh, Crap!" Fakeout: During the Peace Arc Kibara goes to his office and later starts laughing madly making it seem he had gone back to being crazy however shortly afterwards it's revealed he had found a way to cure puppetry among other things like memory loss.

    Revenge Arc

    Despair Arc
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Kibara is given the option to do one of these to save Chiaki. While he does accept it, he proceeds to turn the tables and save Chiaki without having anyone die but Dels.
  • Near-Death Experience: Kibara has one of these near the start. He says that he talked to Chiaki during it.
  • Negated Moment of Awesome: Kibara going back in time and killing Dels negates Max going feral and killing Dels in the Revenge Arc.

    Memory Arc

Season 2

    Second Peace Arc
  • Non-Indicative Title: Downplayed. While there is mostly peace Max doesn't get any until halfway in.
  • The Reveal: Multiple, all involving Max. He used to be a despair as a puppet and he's schizophrenic.
  • Self-Harm: Max does this once he's back in his dollhouse.

    Doppelgänger Arc

    Genderbend Arc

    Nightmare Arc

    k Arm Ic Arc
  • Chekovs Skill: Max [[spoiler:escapes the AI
  • Dark and Troubled Past: This arc reveals the last of the details on Max's. He was mocked as a kid for his schizophrenia and pressured by his parents to over-achieve, which is what led to his original mental breakdown and the start of his "dollhouse". Then he is accepted into Hope's Peak, and was stuck in a terrible accident involving a sewing machine that left him bedridden. By the time he got out, he had delusions of a "God of Karma" (Word of God states their name is Xyzotl) and leaves Hope's Peak to make the Church of Karma. Everything is actually great...until the despairs killed every member but him. Then he was turned into a People Puppets despair for an unknown amount of time before escaping. Then he was found by the Future Foundation and the rest is history.
  • Shout-Out: 'I AM MONSTER TRUCK!'
  • Wham Episode: Well, let's see. This arc has:
    • Max's backstory,
    • A rogue AI killing most of the characters,
    • And the reveal that the Graduation Hall (and by proxy, everything in the past two seasons) was a simulation.

    Awakening Arc

    Rebuild Arc
  • Bittersweet Ending: The arc (and this version of the Graduation Hall) ends with the following note from Kibara:
After rebuilding the entire Grad Hall.
Kibara looked back at the adventures he had.
This place. He never thought it would be a big part of his life.
Chara finally got back with Asriel, but Frisk is still nowhere to be found. Wherever he is, lets Hope he finds this place.
Makoto never fully cured from his Despair, but he learned to control it.
He and Mukuro are now happily married as a couple.
Junko and Hikari became best buds, she has plans for him. Big plans. And no, not her big inventory.
Not everyone woke up from the Simulation.
Some stayed comatosed. Like Byakuya and Soda.
We eventually pulled the plug on them.
Kyoko went missing and nowhere to be seen. She probably didn't know about Makoto's condition.
Max finally fixed his relationship with me, and we're hanging out often.
Elias on the other hand started a group to start the rebuilding of the world, he did something the Future Foundation couldn't achieve. —>He made people have peace. Despair or not.
I on the other hand, I finally feel... Happy.
Content. I finally got what I wanted.
I'm finally free from my problems.
How wonderful it is to have friends?

I'm feeling a little light headed.. Probably just a fever..
