Eclipse of the Gods is the fifth chapter of the Chronicles of the Gods series, launched on Thanksgiving 2011.
Some of the Overlords from the original Twilight of the Gods have been recruited again — but this time to lead an army. Their reward? The chance to become Nomads themselves.

Eclipse of the Gods contains examples of:
- Blue-and-Orange Morality: Anub'arak is willing to work with humans to finish the mission, but has little patience for their irksome tendency to get hurt or mourn their dead.
- Crossover: One challenge takes place in a fusion of DC and Marvel. This very same setting was later used to house a cross over with another RP in the series, Taskforce Sifuri, with the characters from the two games being made to go to war with each other
- Death Is Cheap: Averted for the first time in the series- Tatu states that Death Is Death.
- Kick the Dog: Daido marks his return by having a dream that he killed Deca. And what looks like Lotso.
- Mental World: Of a sword, no less; Saber and Valvatorez enter the Item World of Excalibur Morgan. It is not a nice place.
- Odd Friendship: Megatron seems to genuinely respect Clinkz, and seems to be downright friendly towards Ilya.

Spiritual Successor: To Twilight of the Gods. - The Starscream: Molluck the Glukkon. Was already planning his allies' downfall from the moment he joined them. So far no one is buying it. Invoked by Megatron himself when commenting on Molluck being another Starscream.
- Token Good Teammate:
- In a group filled with crazy people, Russian Generals and Pirates, Alex Mason, now a part of Dragovich's Army, stands out.
- In Daido's team, his own mother is this, going as far as to try and kill him to atone for the sin of bringing him back from the dead. Not to mention that she, like Megatron, acts friendly to Ilya.
