Dangan Ronpa: Bounded Rationality
is a roleplay based on the Danganronpa series of games. Much like in the visual novels, Dangan Ronpa: Bounded Rationality centers around a group of Super High School Level students, who find themselves trapped and ordered to kill one another. The game takes place inside a lodge, where the students are told that Hope's Peak Academy is tired of researching talents, and instead plans on hosting a mutual killing game for the purposes of reality television. Every few days, the students are presented with a motive in order to drive one of them to the point of murder.
Tropes appearing include:
- A Student Body Divided: The game itself tests the students' loyalties. Friends are forced to turn on one another, and even students who may find themselves on the same side may not see eye-to-eye.
- Anyone Can Die
- Cruel and Unusual Death: Most of the deaths fall under this category. They're even more cruel when you remember that these are teenagers who are being picked off one by one.
- Mystery of the Week: Each week, one of the students meets their maker, and it's up to the rest of the students to figure out who's responsible.
- Public Execution: Once the murderer is uncovered, they are executed in front of the remaining student body.
