Alanna is a finished Interactive Comic /Forum Quest formerly hosted on MS Paint Forum Adventures, in which the title character is captured by mysterious enemies to be used in some evil ritual. Fortunately she was bounded to advisor spirits (the readers) the day before, and it's up to them to guide Alanna out of this mess.

Alanna provides examples of:
- Cast from Calories: Alanna is struck by hunger when she unconsciously manifests powerful ice magic, or survives underwater longer than she naturally should. Turns out she's partially possessed by EB the Consumer, who gains power from devouring stuff, and used lots of such power saving her. Before facing the Big Bad, the god insists she only do so well-rested and well-fed.
- Color-Coded Elements: Red for fire, blue for ice, yellow for lightning, and black for anything summoned (any light that touches them is warped to their plane of origin)
- Demonic Possession: What the bad guys have in store for Alanna.
- Deity of Mortal Creation: See Deus Est Machina below.
- Destroyer Deity:
- The cosmology involves three gods, with AB the Giver representing creation, OB the Knower being analysis and EB the Consumer being destruction. The Knower would dissect everything to subatomic dust to satisfy its curiosity, while the Consumer would devour the dust to satisfy its hunger. Both destructive gods actually tried their hand at creating shortly before the adventure began; the Big Bad wanted to distract them with this new hobby while he worked to steal their power.
- Due to the Big Bad attempting to possess protagonist Alanna with the Consumer, not only are his creations instinctively friendly to Alanna, but she also gains ice magic (since cold is draining energy) with Cast from Calories.
- Deus est Machina: OB's creations, after He was separated from them, built a fully functional replica of Him, powerful enough to bestow boons like immunity to banishment.
- Elemental Absorption: In the climactic battle, Franklin absorbs a powerful lightning spell and grows massive. The big bad simply casts a banishment spell at him unaware of his newfound immunity to that.
- Evil Redhead: The Big Bad Tristan has brightly colored red hair.
- Familiar: Alanna's is a small Electrical Sprite called Franklin.
- Fire, Ice, Lightning: Each tied to a god, and mostly color-coded.
- Hearing Voices: Invoked at the start of the adventure, back when Alanna still expected a fun trip to Puzzland: The spell puts her in contact with the readers, which she hears as voices in her head.
- An Ice Person: Alanna manifests ice powers, which surprises her because her usual element is lightning.
- The Maker: AB created the world and all those that live in it. OB and EB also gave it a try, the former creating a technological race in a geometrical world while the latter made a primitive one in a lush nature world.
- One Name Only: Alanna's last name is never mentioned. Neither is Tristan's.
- One-Word Title: The comic is named after the protagonist, who only has one name.
- Protagonist Title: Alanna is the protagonist of the story, and has One Name Only.
