Go To

SD Gundam Force: The Daishogun of Destruction Appears! Zako?! is a 4D ride that used to be in Sanrio Puroland during SD Gundam Force's run in Japan. It was a twenty minute show, one that audiences could interact with, taking place between seasons 1 & 2 of the anime. The main villains were created by Masato Ichishiki, author of the SD Gundam Musha Maruden/SD Gundam Force Emaki Musharetsuden/SD Gundam Musha Banchō Fūunroku manga. Although the ride has closed down, the video portion was included on the series' Complete DVD Box Set.

The plot is that Lab C is attacked by two new villains, De Jarle, Knight of the Hammer, and the Daishogun of Destruction, Haikaimaru. The evil pair seek to steal the Zakurello Remote and use the Gate for their plans to conquer the dimensions. While the Gundam Force fight off De Jarle's forces, a pair of Zako Soldiers take the Zakurello Remote and try to keep them away from the villains.

SD Gundam Force: The Daishogun of Destruction Appears! Zako?! provides examples of:

  • Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: De Jarle first sends puppets made of giant sacks to attack the Force.
  • Call-Back: When Haikaimaru decides to fight, he transforms the area into Japanese stage, similar to what the Daishogun of Perfect Virtue did in "Showdown! Bakunetsumaru vs Ashuramaru!"
  • The Cameo: During the montage of the Zakos warping to different places, we can see Buritenmaru using his Tanega Rifle to fend off the Dark Axis in Ark and Madnug's vehicle during the test flight that will send him into the General's clutches.
  • Forced Transformation: De Jarle's opening move is to use a hammer and turn most of Zapper's group into washtubs. It wears off when the villains are beaten.
  • Interquel: Set between Episodes 26 & 27.
  • Let's Get Dangerous!: After spending most of the film riding in what seems to be a mobile bathtub, Haikaimaru turns it into battle-armor and gets ready to fight after Captain stops him from taking the Remote.
