Comic Books

  • Robin (1993): The issue reintroducing the Jury is called "Twelve Very Angry Men", and the Vigilante group comprises twelve murderous members.

Literature

  • Homicide: A Year On the Killing Streets by David Simon mentions that the Baltimore police and prosecutors "no longer believe in all that Norman Rockwell business about twelve angry men in shirtsleeves, arguing in sticky heat over the essential evidence", instead assuming a jury will be a dozen brain-deads thinking the accused seems like a nice young man and laughing over the prosecutor's choice of tie.

Live-Action TV

  • Hancock's Half Hour: Parodied with the episode "Twelve Angry Men", in which Tony and Sid are part of the jury. Tony is naturally the Rogue Juror who votes not guilty and gradually persuades the other jurors to agree with him using sentimental appeal, emotional blackmail and discussion of fine British justice - until he changes his mind and decides the accused is guilty.
  • Veronica Mars: The A-plot of the second season episode "One Angry Veronica" is a Whole-Plot Reference to the movie, complete with a Rogue Juror, the fact we never find out the names of most of the rest of the jurors, and that there's a racist juror who eventually turns everyone off. The major differences are, it takes place over the course of several days (as opposed to the movie, which takes place during one day), and here, the Rogue Juror thinks the defendants are guilty, as opposed to the other jury members, who think they're innocent...at first.

Puppet Shows

  • Sesame Street: A Monsterpiece Theater sketch is entitled "12 Angry Men". Cookie Monster, as Alistair Cookie, tries to introduce the titular story, but is instead given cutaways of "Three Sad Cows" and "Two Proud Pigs". At the end of the sketch, twelve men show up, angry at Cookie for not letting them do their sketch.

Web Original

  • Neopets: 12 Angry Myncies is a book that players can buy and read to their pets. Its description is "A challenging fictional tale for older readers."

Video Games

  • Arknights: The Covergence Plaque contains the number 1057 and it shows 12 stick figures, with the eighth colored pink. It based on 12 Angry Men, which was released on 1957. It's the Trope Codifier of Rogue Juror, as in the story, all jurors except the eighth voted guilty and it causes the jury to reassess the trial.
  • A Hat in Time: According to their clapperboards, the Conductor is filming Twelve Angry Conductors.

Western Animation

  • An episode of 101 Dalmatians: The Series is titled "Twelve Angry Pups". In this episode, Mooch is accused of stealing from several of the animals on Dearly Farm, and Lucky is appointed as his defense attorney despite also believing him to be guilty.
  • Family Guy: The season 11 episode "Twelve And A Half Angry Men" is a Whole-Plot Reference to the film. Mayor West is put on trial for the murder of an aide and twelve residents of Quahog make up the jury, each one acting as an Expy for one of the jurors in the film.
  • Hey Arnold!: Several elements from 12 Angry Men are used in "False Alarm":
    • Harold, Phoebe, Gerald, Helga, Curly and Arnold have to figure out if Eugene pulled the fire alarm where the titular twelve angry jurors had to find out if the boy being accused of murder was guilty.
    • Helga acts like Juror No. 3, who holds fast to his belief that the accused is guilty and often antagonizes Juror No. 8.
    • Arnold being the only person to vote not guilty like there only being one man saying “not guilty” against the eleven jurors during the anonymous votes from both medias.
    • Just like Juror No. 8 who voted “not guilty,” Arnold slowly gets the others to change their minds.
    • A character has tickets to a sporting event, in the movie it’s baseball and here it’s wrestling.
    • Arnold stabs a pencil in the table like how Juror No. 8 does this with a knife.
  • A Robot Chicken sketch is entitled "12 Angry Little People", where 12 Angry Men is parodied with Fisher-Price Little People figures.
  • SpongeBob SquarePants: In "Squid Wood", SpongeBob creates a ventriloquist dummy of Squidward, which he dubs "Mini Squidward" to play with him when the real Squidward doesn't want to play with him. At one point, SpongeBob and Mini Squidward play a game of charades, and Mini Squidward correctly guesses "12 Angry Jellyfish".
  • "The Simpsons": In "One Angry Lisa", Lisa's subplot is that she is assigned for jury duty despite being underage, but she is unable to get it revoked. But once during a trial, she grows baffled and frustrated at the incompetence of the judge, jury, witnesses and attorneys to point she gives a "Reason You Suck" Speech to all of them. But her outburst to cause the judge to declare a mistrial, which further angers Lisa.
