In both the novel and movie of High Fidelity, Barry pretends the store has a copy of "I Just Called to Say I Love You", refuses to sell it to the customer asking for it, and insults the customer for asking for it in the first place (it's for his daughter in the film):

In One-Trick Pony, a Hare Krishna at the airport tries to interest Jonah in his religion by saying, "Hey, you're into music, brother. That's great, beautiful.
