- Day of the Dead (1985) homages Repulsion with a Jump Scare shot of zombie hands breaking through a wall to grab the lead actress.
- Edgar Wright has stated that Repulsion was a major inspiration for Last Night in Soho, and he directly references the hands, belonging to the ghosts of Sadie's abusers crashing through the walls and floor of the bedroom to grab the protagonist during the climax, Ellie and Sandy's white mac, and both Sandie and Ellie's... repulsion with men.
