- In JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Vento Aureo, Cioccolata's Stand is named after the band, which spreads flesh-eating mold spores over everybody who's at a lower altitude than Cioccolata.

- Game Grumps: The video made to send off the Grump Couch has a cover of "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)" near the end.
- Jacksepticeye: In his "I ASK EVIE RIDDLES" episode of Cleverbot Evie, he tells Evie "nobody likes you", which leads him to start singing the opening to Green Day's "Letterbomb", which also starts with the aforementioned phrase. He even leaves out the final "having fun" line so that the audience at home can finish it.
- Minilife TV: In Chris and Ian's living room, there's a poster for a band called Green Brick and their album, "Plastic Idiot", which is modeled after Green Day's "American Idiot" album cover.
