  • A 1989 Warner Bros. Collection Catalog commercial has Daffy Duck sit in his director's chair, which has DONALD DU appear on it. Before the remaining two letters can be added, an outraged Daffy exclaims "That's Daffy! Daffy Duck! I can't believe you'd mistake a big star like me for that other duck who can't even talk straight!"

  • A Goofy Movie: When Goofy tells Max that he's taking a vacation with his "best buddy", Max assumes it's Donald Duck. Donald later makes a cameo, hitchhiking with Mickey Mouse, during the "On the Open Road" number.

  • Home Alone 2: Lost in New York: Early in the film, when Kate asks Kevin to guess what Grandpa Frank got him for their family vacation to Florida, Kevin guesses "Donald Duck slippers".
  • Sonic the Hedgehog (2020): When Tom helps a duck and her ducklings cross a street, he addresses them as "Donald, Daisy, Daffy..."
  • Who Framed Roger Rabbit:
    • Donald performs in a "dueling pianos" act with fellow duck Daffy at the Ink & Paint Club, and is later seen among the crowd of Toons in the finale.
    • An old newspaper article on Eddie's desk tells of how the Valiant brothers cracked the case of Donald's kidnapped nephews.

  • The Sooty Show: In "Jigsaw", when Sooty finds his old toys while looking for a piece of a sky puzzle, one of the toys he plays with is a wind-up walking figure of Donald Duck.

Radio

  • The Edgar Bergen-Charlie McCarthy Show:
    • In the show dated December 31, 1944, Bergen tells Charlie that he's been preparing for a New Year's Eve function by taking diction lessons, to which Charlie quips "From who? Donald Duck?"
    • Donald himself guest-starred on the September 21, 1947 show to promote the premiere of Fun and Fancy Free, in which Bergen and his dummies also starred.

  • The Angry Video Game Nerd: In his review of Snoopy's Silly Sports Spectacularnote , the Nerd brings up that the game is a North American reskin of a Donald Duck game that was released exclusively in Japan due to Capcom holding the license for Disney games in North America at the time. He points out the similarities and differences between the two games and even does impressions of Donald a few times.

Western Animation

  • Animaniacs (1993): In "One Flew over the Cuckoo Clock", among the residents of among the residents of the Cartoon Motion Picture Rest home is Quacky Duck, an elderly Captain Ersatz version of Donald Duck.
  • Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers:
    • In "To the Rescue", the detective and his dog are named Donald Drake and Plato, obviously a nod to Chip 'n Dale's old co-stars Donald Duck and Pluto. Also in that episode, the villain's thug mistakes Dale for his gun, reusing a gag from the 1950s short "The Lone Chipmunks".
    • In another episode, the Rangers are going to a movie, and Dale hopes to see some cartoons before the main feature:
      Dale: I hope they show the one with the big dumb duck!
  • Family Guy:
    • In "Movin' Out (Brian's Song)", Jillian invites Peter to go see Disney on Ice with her, and he decides to put on his Donald Duck costume, which is a sailor's hat and shirt, but no pants.
    • In "And I'm Joyce Kinney", Stewie tries to get noticed at church by wearing a sailor suit nearly identical to Donald's.
    • In "La Famiglia Guy", Peter becomes a mob boss and is introduced to the leaders of Quahog's criminal underworld. One of the "dons" he meets is Don Duck.
  • Goof Troop: In "Close Encounters of the Weird Mime", while Goofy trains to be a mime, his instructor tells him to act like a duck while holding up a picture of Donald.
  • Looney Tunes: In (blooper) Bunny!, Daffy Duck complains about being forced to partake in Bugs Bunny's 51½th Anniversary Spectacular, saying that Warner Bros. will eventually give him "three snot-nosed nephews."
  • Robot Chicken:
    • The final sketch of "Some Like It Hitman" presents a theory about what happened to Donald's sister Della.
    • A sketch from "The Core, the Thief, His Wife and Her Lover" has Donald suggesting that Mickey hook up with Minnie, despite his objections that she looks like himself in drag. Donald then sees Daisy and laments how he looks as a woman before discreetly asking her out.
    • A sketch from "Botched Jewel Heist" has Mickey Mouse complaining about Goofy and Clarabelle being together, to which Donald says "Someone finally said it!"
  • The Simpsons:
    • In "Ned 'n' Edna's Blend", Rod and Todd get temporary tattoos of Disney characters, with Todd's being "a duck with no pants on."
    • In the "Treehouse of Horror XXXI" segment, "Toy Gory", one of Bart's toys is a white duck in a sailor suit, not unlike Donald Duck.
    • The Disney+ short "Plusaversary" has Donald among the characters attending the party at Moe's Tavern. Moe can't understand him when he tries to order a drink and assumes he's choking.
  • Theodore Tugboat has a character named Donald Dock.
  • Thomas & Friends: One episode is titled "Donald's Duck".
